I've got to the stage of the jaheira romance/harper quest where one more dialogue is required before Dermin attacks. Only it won't show up. I've downloaded Manveru's patch, I've tried resting in inns and in the wild and nothing seems to activate it. Any advice?

Yes they are probably buggered beyond redemption...I might just restart again before I get too far into the game. I don't think the game is unplayable but the alterations are more than a little troublesome.

Well the map problem has been solved by replacing the worldmap.wmp file in the corrupted save with the worldmap.wmp file from a save that hadn't had this map bug with the locations moving around. Good party, except for Khalid and Jaheira. Neither are really worthwhile. Khalid is an awful fighter - poor dexterity particular, iirc, and Jaheira is pretty substandard. Ditch these and pick up Xan and Kivan or Ajantis. If you're an archer go for Ajantis - you can use the gauntlets of ogre strength ...

Hmm, any idea how I might be able to fix things? I haven't even paid for the assistance of the shadow thieves this time round yet, let alone visit the underdark. That forest shouldn't be there at all...
