i'm a bit confused how to buy magic items

if i have a +1 greatsword and i want to make it a keen +1 greatsword, how mush would it cost to make it keen

if i then wanted to add shocking burst onto that how much would it cost?

i'm considering rolling a barbarian for the next campaign i'm joining but i'm stuck on race, i really want to be a halfling but i'm concerned id just be gimping myself

does teh bonus dex, +1 to hit and +1 AC offset the lsot +1 to hit +1 damage from the lost strength

should i jsut go human or ...

I'm looking for a group to paly Dnd with, idealy 3.5 but i'm willing to learn 4.0 if your willing to be patient
