The XP-Cap remover disables the cap, so that you can get more than 2.950.000 XP.

But the game has not the exact rules for characters beyond a certain level (i.e. you will likely get nothing more than HitPoints on level advancement). The level 50 rules fixes that.

You think Firearms are useless weapons, because they only fire 'normal' bullets.

If your mage has an intelligence score of at least 19 he can write an unlimited amount of spells (and keep them when the potion wears of).

You can get the Illithium-alloy from the ore merchant, and give it to Sir Sarles.

I did not experience this problem, but I suppose that it was the Maze Spell. Try to kill the demons first, this should be not too hard.

Devin (the little boy that gives you the Umar Hills quest) is in Waukeen's Promenade. He's standing on the right side of the walls.

Yes, there will be different THAC0 values. But you need to equip normal arrows to compare the stats.

The starting experience of NPC's depend's on the experience of your main character.
But the difference is not too great, so it's always best to get the NPC's you want to keep asap.

Yes, that should be correct if your bow contributes +2 to damage. Arrows+2 do not have any damage bonus in BG2, right?

All effects of arrows and bows are cumulative. THAC0 bonuses, damage bonuses and elemental damage (like Gesen bow with acid arrows) are all added together.

But the effectiveness of the weapon is always determined by the arrows/bullets of the weapon.

Missile weapons that can be used without ...

You can see the effects on the character sheet. Afaik the effects of specialization are the same as with melee weapons, at least for damage and to-hit, but you gain no extra attacks.

I think the extra attacks are *very* important for a warrior class. And a level 12 fighter already has 8 slots. Shouldn't that be enough, even for the two-weapon style?

Level 13 is very cool for fighters, cause they get their second free +1/2 attack there.

No the weapon mastery in BG2 is really crappy. Effectively Grand Mastery (5 slots) only gives a +1 to-hit, damage and initiative bonus. It's surely better to spend your slots elsewhere.

I agree with all your points geh4th. What was Korgans dexterity score again? I think it was quite low, while Minsc has about 16 or 17 dex.

Yes, it's true, the bag is only limited by number of items, not the weight them. I used it to store all my excess magical stuff and never got it filled. Also very neat for spare Full Plate Mails. Image
