backstab misses quite often or fails to do multiple damage, so make sure your thief or whatever has a quick weapon to start fighting regularly or is hasted to make a quick getaway.

i would suggest enlisting a mage for this one battle - edwin or aerie. buy the wand of cloudkill and have a couple of cloudkills or death fogs in their mage book or on scrolls. stand out of his line of sight and gas him about 10-15 times. you may not consider this honourable, but it will work. if ...

much later on in the game, after the underdark, he lets you see his secret stash, for a fee of 50 gold. he hasnt got much to impress - at this stage you'll probably have better stuff anyway.

you dont need this bloke anyway. he just gives you a little quest to help him steal some old treasure (nothing fantastic - you get some high level scrolls and a rod of magic absorbtion but that's it).

whats your favourite weapon proficiency?

i think long swords are the best - daystar, blackrazor, equalizer, etc being very powerful indeed, and with not too high speed factors.

many weapons are underated like halberds and short swords. anyone like these less popular ones ...

minsc - absorbs all the damage along with my fighter PC. deals out a good deal of physical damage using lilarcor/elven long bow

jaheira - nice combo of might and magic. insect plauge is incredibly good, and she is a useful healer too

viconia - very good cleric, most useful character in my party ...

in true mythology efreet are demonic djiniis and the natural enemy of djiniis (also genies or jin). efreet are fire and djiniis are air. efreet cast magic that destroys and djiniis cast wishes. in other words, a djinii is good and an efreet is evil.

dunno about the druid grove, never played as a druid. as for the exp cap remover, i think theres one on this site. if not try baldurs gate haven or some other similar site, or you could look in gamecopyworld.com as they have a lot of patches
