My mistake, it's cast time, not cooldown. I misremembered. It's for spells like fireball that take a few seconds to cast.

I haven't personally tested it, but iirc it resets the cooldowns for all your spells.

So if you have 5 blast novas (or 1 even) and you have 15 scribe, then you can just chain cast blast nova from scroll?
Is it balanced by scrolls being less powerful than a level 14 arcane, perhaps? I am tempted to take druid instead of valkyrie, but I don't want to take a broken powerful ability. I ...

Oh god scribe is broken. With a little more testing, I had a 100% chance to not consume scrolls as early as level 15.

Scribe works after all. Scribe adds a chance for scrolls to not be consumed when you use them. At level 50 scribe, I used a scroll of fireball 52 times before I gave up on trying to make it be consumed. Scrolls get bonuses from magic skills as well, same as normal spells. Blast nova, anyone? Yeh, finally figured it out; it's a dual field thing, after the first letter of the last occurrence of character name, one field is bytes 183 184 and 185, the second field is byte 187 188 and 189. the same amount has to be added to each group.

Can you have the special items like dagger of winter become 'fine dagger of winter +3' or something like that?

I think so. Not sure if all weapons allow it. I've found an elven darksword, nether impalers, venom daggers, and jewelry with options. I can't remember which of the other special stuff ...

A quick note on experience. seems it can't be altered because leveling up is done everytime you defeat a quest boss character

I think different races have different resists if they kept that from CE. But I don't know, I was taking a lot of damage from the fireballs. I had 30 vitality too.

I can probably find this out for sure if I look at the memory. My urgoth rogue/fighter is level 28, has 20 vitality, and takes tiny ...

A 1 pt wonder means you get all the benefit for only 1 pt.

I've confirmed that sneak is more effective with level ups. I don't know how useful it is getting it naturally, but at level 65535 enemies ...

I find them pretty often. This is what I've found by the time I hit level 12 on my most recent character. I'm sure I've sold others. Just pick up everything, and always open chests. I like to get The Fool of Fortune as well. Not sure if it increases drops or just chests ...

I have 30 vitality at level 18 and I cannot beat the 4th trial of the ancient. I can kill the ghost knights easy, but the fireballs get me.

Dang, neither Bladewitch nor Enchantress seem to give anything worthwhile. What's the diabolical skill of Bladewitch? Enchantress seems especially poor.
I was thinking of some ways to get a Fighter/Mage access to divine spells, but that seems impossible now.

I think the game difficulty is way higher from enemy casters. But yeah death widows and other 'fodder' are more slice and diceable than vanilla. Vanilla was definitely easier. Unless I am just in a chokepoint where it will get easier. Basically enemy casters with fireball have given me reloads ...
