Has anyone tried to attack the Asylum Coordinator (i.e. Irenicus) before he declares himself?

What happens?

Can anyone think of sections of the game where it 'cheats'. I can think of two in particular:

1. Recently cast 6th level cleric spell against a mage w. Minor Spell Turning. It came back. Huh? - should only reflect up to 4 levels.

2. Starting combat against mages, they always react before I can ...

While using the talking 2h sword, I nearly wet myself laughing when in the middle of combat, it piped up:

"My brother is a Hackmaster +12"

I disagree with what's being said. What you have to remember is that just because an NPC belongs to a particular character class, it doesn't make them a caricature.

Inquisitors would judge evil spell casters not by alignment but by their deeds. Evil alignment represents selfishness, self interest ...

I was a bit miffed with the assumptions that BlackIsle made about the composition of your party - how hard would it have been to check in the BG1 saved game (if you imported, as I did) to see who you had and modify the dialogue just slightly.

In BG1 I 'accidentally' allowed Jaheira's husband to die ...
