Chitin.key 'lives' in your BG2 folder (one of the five core components of BG2 install, with BGMain.exe, override, dialog.tlk and baldur.ini) and NI tries to find so-called infinity keyfile (chitin)

Posted by Aliyappo Whut? NI needs Java for it to launch, forgot about that. In order to browse the game files, you need to in 'open' window find your chitin.key file. Chitin keeps track of most files, if I understood you correctly.

but it seems you've corrupted BMP or MOS files. Try browsing them with Near Infinity, and tell what file doesn't not load (Upon the loading NI will tell you that this file seems to be corrupted)

OK - we just upgraded our machine from XP to Windows 7. Now our version of CIV IV won't upload in it. Will the version that says compatable with Windows XP/Vista work with my Win7 computer?

My 13yo son and I LOVE this game, so I'll buy the "Vista" version if it'll work.

Actually, I had to find out how to access the picture(s). This site I found, Death Jester's Baldur's Gate Portraits

was pretty good and had some cool portraits.

Please explain. I read the Readme file (from the main folder "BG II- The Shadows of Amn") and it does not detail what to do.

Is it as simple as pasting the pictures into the correct folder for the game to access the pictures?

Hello. I want to include a bunch of the dizzying assortment of BG2 portraits out there as options. What Folder do I need to put the portraits in. i have them in the "Portraits" folder, but they are not an option on the character generation - so they are in the wrong place apparently.
