hmm i wonder if i get baned for refreshing such outdated topic? :)

A blade is a far better fighter than a fighter/mage...

namely because one spell... tensers transformation

a blade will always have higher level than f/m so the spell will grant him the better base thaco, his HP will also be higher...

and even if the f/m also uses tensers, he will always have less APR

plus the bards tenser will have better spell duration so in the end will come on top

And how many times will you memorize that spell?

A F/M is pretty good without buffs.

I don't have to use it all the time.. the spell is there for special occasions, like the fight with your F/M ;)

If we completely forget about Tensers, a Blade has still decent THAC0(with the help of his 10 offensive spins and Potions of Power), and is still better than the F/M due to UAI and traps. A F/M cannot equip Montolio's cloak, or Carsomyr, or the Purifier, or the Chaos Blade, or a Holy Symbol(for str and magic resistance bonus), nor can set 7 Time traps in the battlefield area before the spawning of enemies. In fact, the Blade is a weaker version of a F/M/T, and not F/M.
