Now I have played the Beta for about 2 hours, and it is certainly considerably more difficult, at least with the old character builds. I made a new sorc, and for the sorc the new synergy effects on skills affect the cold tree mostly, although some fire and lightning skills like Meteor, Lightning and CB are now synergic. FW and Nova are unchanged though.

@Humanflyz: I don't think it's a bug, I haven't got a single rune either and I played most of Act 1. However, the Countess is supposed to drop at least one rune each time, I think? I tried her at Hell with an old character, and then she dropped 3 runes - very low level, though. Btw, you link seems to go to the old D2x recipies, not to the new 1.10 beta.

@Taco: It is now huge, and it seems the stairs to lvl 3 can be anywhere, not only around the edges. Bremm now always spawns LE, and at Hell difficulty I had the pleasure of getting both Wyand and Maffer MSLE

However, it seems MSLE is not as bad as it used to be, because I had no problems surviving heaps of MSLE:s (but my Barb merc had, as usual).

At Hell difficulty, the Boss monsters regenerate HP:s with amazing speed, it took me ages to take down a Fire and Cold Immune Superunique with a lvl 87ish Barb merc and lvl 15-18 CB (I don't remember exactly). Poison is now way more powerful, I always used to ignore poison previously.

hm damn i traded away most of my poison charms cuz it was to trendy...guess ill have to find some more...im glad they nerfed msle...those have always been over powered...

Really? I thought the link is correct. Anyways, if anyone wants to know the beta recipes, all you have to do is go to Diabloii.net and there will be the link. Also, on the same site is a zip file that contains all the new set/unique items found in the beta.

Like CE said, the beta makes the game more difficult. My level 60 Amazon was just completely overwhelmed in Hell when I tried "players 8". You'd be surprised how fast the life drained. But it's fun.

guess you wanna start usin a valk again eh? maybe get clegs back on em awell eh? thats what i do when i had a lower lvl in cow games...so they cant get to you at all...i wonder if they nerfed clegs?

I'm happy that the Buriza is excluded from the new Exceptional to Elite upgrade of unique items!

@Taco: I don't think Cleg's are nerfed per se, however, knockback doesn't work on all monsters any longer. I don't know about the slow effect.

CE your right about the buriza...that thing is uber...i cant imagine it with base dmg higher then what it is now. that would just be wrong... it will be nice to have low end weapons being really nice after upgrading...hopefully help avoiding cookie cutter items...

I read today about another player's 1.10 experience and they mention they had indeed upgraded the Buriza to the collossus crossbow base item. Some people disputed that and referred to a statement that G. Frazier made about not being able to this but others sited the same thread and said he was trying to be tongue and cheek about upgrading that weapon and that it can be done.

It doesn't seem logical that you can't do it.

@Taco and Krimmy: I am surprised to hear they did allow an upgrade of the Buriza since they explicitely said they wouldn't just a couple of weeks ago?

In any case I agree with Taco, it's ridiculously uber as it is...The Buriza was supposed to be among several uniques that were excluded, but they have obviously changed that now.

well maybe they made the game hard enough that it didnt matter? i dunno...i think ill still use a faster bow..i always liked usin demon machine in PVP and havin people tell me that im hacked and stuff...it always got em going lol

I was more thinking in terms of items for other classes, that are equally good and equally easy to find...but maybe the Buriza will be less outstanding now when uniques can be upgraded and there is also a lot of new items, of course...

I have never used the Buriza, I usally use Magewrath or Kuko...Never found Windforce, unfortunately, would have been fun to try it. Demon Machine? That's unusual - I don't remember the stats off hand, but I remember I thought it wasn't too impressive - what is your strategy when you use it in PvP?

yea your right. that thing is prolly one of the easiest uber unques to find...i never understood that...it has more dmg then most weapons very high min dmg. and its RANGED...i mean most swords are only around 200 dmg.

demon machine is the unique cho ko nu i think 129 dmg..some where in there.

PvP changes for me

Zons: i run for a lil while then stop and start shooting...they usually run into the arrows or i just move ALOT and take one or two shots and move again

Sorcs: Get next to a long wall so they cant teleport in circles. they gotta come strieght at me. use multi to take their zon out.

Barbs, Pallys, Druids: just keep movin and shoot one or two arrows

Necros: havent fought them in a long long time LOL

Asns: Use multi to take out their minions before they get to you. then start runnin and shooting 2 arrows.

i always think its stupid when melee characters told you to stand still when your usin a ranged weapon...i wouldnt ask em to do it if i were melee and they werent...i just adapted... owell

Y'know I've never found a Buriza...ah well I did find Lycander's Flank today(surprised me) and have found a couple Titans, I'm going to upgrade those to the Matriarchal versions as soon as find some Pul runes, and I've never found that rune yet, so it'll be awhile....
