To make the battles more realistic, how about if you get hit by a lightsaber and don't save, you lose your hand like Kreia? Then if you want an artificial one, you have to go to some shop or get an NPC like Bao-Dur to make you one once his skills are high enough? In the movies, people are always losing body parts from getting hit by sabers. Shouldn't the game be similar?
If they do make a KOTOR III, make it less laggy. I play on XBOX and if there is a lot of blaster fire or force power usage, it lags really bad.

You should've been able to go to more than just one city on a planet.
KOTOR I was much better, it had more quests and the planets took more work to complete.

Battles should be less of "I press Master Flurry 5 times and enemy dies"
The battles should be more realistic where you can manually dodge blaster fire and melee attacks. These attacks need to take more damage. If you got hit with a lightsaber once, you should have like half your life taken off. But even Cannoks take 2 Master Flurrys to kill.
that would kind of defy the entire engine that kotor is based on, but i agree that there should never be lag in console games. as well as the more than one city on each planet thing.

how about they just let you tear through every one of your enemies with a lightsaber in a single slice, no matter what the circumstances?

A lot of people are using two sabers so using a single saber doesn't make you defenseless.

I'm just saying if that a lightsaber can slice open a 5 foot door made of solid rock/metal, it should be able to pierce through a body much easier.

George Lucas unofficially mentioned Kotor III production

Ive read somewhere that Kotor III production is already working and If it might go proper way then at Christmas of 2005 we might play Kotor III but these news are unofficial. We may expect new graphic engine , new gameplay , new music of course and (I dont know how thay might do that)new awsome saber combat which might be just breath-taking. I dont konw anything about story line but as we know Kotor and Kotor II then we shall expect something delicous. Maybe they will show us how Revan and Bastila died? Maybe True Siths may attack the Republic? Why dont know that , yet....
The Light Side is the only honorable way of the Force that tries to bring peace and happines to the whole Galaxy. If you can master it then you can truely become a Jedi.

boom shaka

I'm just wondering how this whole decision making process is going to play out.. some ppl played kotor as a light or dark same as kotor 2... decisions made out decided if Bastilla died, or lived.. I played light on kotor 1 so in Kotor 2 she is alive n talking to Carth about where Revan is yada yada... I just hope i dont have to play a new person... its outplayed, i rather play as Revan again or Exile...

I hope the have more characters that join your based on whether your dark or light side, like Mira & Hanhaar. Also I think it would be cool if there was a gammorean character. One more thing I really hate that there are 4 characters in KOTOR II whose outfits don't change, you Kriea, Visas, Mandalore and Hanhaar. Speaking of Hanhaar they should have like utility baldrics or something that wookies can equip in the armor space in KOTOR III.

Just a thought

in one instance, on korriban at the tomb of marka ragnos i believe, kreia speaks of how the jedi from long before were even more powerful, and would put any "modern" jedi to shame in terms of lightsaber prowess. the second i heard that, i was hoping for a game set in the really really old republic. something in the days of the old sith lords.

KotORIII
http://gamebanshee.com/news/static/EEpylVkZElRJBBMoPl.php

Before this... roughly a month ago, LucasArts announced that they had laid off several of the designers that were on the KotOR3 team. Between that and this article, I would say it is safe to assume that 3 is well on the way. :D
May the Force be with you...

What if lucasarts gets sick of doing the whole old republic thing and go new republic? would that still be kotor3 or would they call it like kotnr1? I hope they put up a new battle system because its getting kind of repetative with the same one in kotor 1 & 2. you should be able to give orders to your party like in republic commando because its a pain to have to keep switching characters in kotor.

Well there was some information on a site that there would be one. Actually there is an article now on GB. So they say there will be one being devellopped by Obsidian and that it could be shown on E3 THIS YEAR. And they said that the gameplay would be changed and all. So... lets hope...

I was thinking it would be pretty cool if they went back in time for kotorIII also. Maybe even a preclude to Exar Kun. Maybe meet Revan as a Padawan or something.

I just hope there's more jedi against jedi in kotorIII than in kotorII really.

And I hope they're a little more careful about releasing it with so many bugs.

And give us a big ending for Pete's sake. Some kind of frikkin' movie to make us feel like we accomplished something big.

No not a prequel I don't think it would fit, although it would be fun. Defiantely a sequel but a big climactic one which would be epic and with a lot of fighting and lightsbers and jedi and droids flying everywhere and jedi wailing on their guitars as they leap into battle........sorry lost it a bit there, got too excited and need new underpants.

Yeah, I guess as long as there IS a KotOR III I'll be happy.

I don't think Jedi are allowed to play guitar. Rock stars are definitely DS

I also think that along with giving us a choice of male/female that they should give us a choice between some alien races like in Jedi Academy. It would also be nice if they could figure out a way to allow the lightsabre fighting to be as sickeningly acrobatic as it was in Jedi Academy. Maybe that's not possible with current technology considering JA was an adventure type game. It's probably a horsepower issue. Can't make the RPG look quite as cool as the Adventure game.

There should be something like the StarForge battle in KOTOR. That was the best part of the entire game with all the force powers and lightsabers. Plus it actually tested your group. Plus I didn't even remember that part lagging.

The final boss should be more difficult than "master flurry a few times and use life support pack, etc."

Like Malak in KOTOR, there should be some special thing that makes it difficult to kill the final boss (those jedi in the cages).

Ah I disagree, I think a Light Jedi rocker is the way to go, just without the drugs and punch ups.
Maybe this next time they could try actually giving you your lightsaber right from the start but have sections were if you carry it you blow your cover or something similar. I'd personally like to see a more tricky way of playing requiring more thought, for instance you come to a locked door with a intricate lock that you have to pick, you can do that or throw someone through a window and get around the door, I dont know just something new

Yes!! I too hate how you can open a door or container as easy as pie!! there should be a kind of minigame thing where you have to pick it or when your using a work bench there should be a system where you actuly put things together. why not have a degrading system too like on SW galaxies so that you can't rely on the same lightsaber for the whole game.

No more boring planets like Korriban or Kashyykk anymore! Datooine, Tatooine, Manaan, Nar Shaddaa, Taris, and Telos were all good worlds. Plus Onderon would've been great if it was larger and had more things to do.
