possible storyline
I think it would be awesome if they were able to tie in the KOTOR series with the original star wars series. In the first series you were a mysterious jedi trying to "find himself (herself)" again. In the second one y ou learned that the force was not as black and white as you thought. Similarly, Episode III revolved around the same theme. What is common to this theme? The prophecy? What if in KOTOR III Revan went "beyond the borders of the galaxy" and found the TRUE meaning of the force. In doing so, the prophecy is somehow established. IT'd be cool.

That would be fairly interesting, but you have about 3-and-a-half millennia to cover, what happens in the intermission?

I like the different races idea/ starting as a jedi trainee at the academy oyu begin with a short trianing peroid then your trial then you get a couple of random missions, all the while you can freelance her n there, then you get mission to go out and find revan.
on the races i tihnk you should be able to choose from about 15 races from the starwars galaxy, one of them msot definitley being of the yoda race. i honestly dont care what they do in the game i want to bea little green midget with a lightsaber that is a sith lord.... yeah...

i just have to say that alot of this stuff is getting repetitive all the different species and most of the story plots have been here for a couple months at least.
Anyway just to follow suit im gonna say that that HK-Factory mystery does need to be solved. It was pretty dumb how they just kinda dropped it.
Im pretty sure that at least the intentions were not that it was Revan who recreated HK-47 since Revan was supposed to be out of known space and such. It could've been another person who was on the harbinger since the ship was left on board of it and they could've jus escaped as a deserter. Not too gfet to in depth or anything. Just my opinion.

Just spitballing
There's some pretty good ideas here. How about these:
I know it's been mentioned before, but if we're looking for an intricate game and an ultimate villian, I think that the game should be in the time of Exar Kun. (As the title says, I'm spitballing because I don't know much about him) But if Exar Kun is really the sith lord we've been hearing about, that should make quite the game. How was Exar Kun taken down? By his apprentice or a Jedi Knight? Was he a Jedi before being a Sith lord? If so...
There was a good idea about being trained on Coruscant (kind of like Fable and the Guild). That would all be fine and good if Kun was defeated by a regular Jedi Knight...
But what about this: Make the character a child in the Jedi Temple hoping to be chosen as a Padawan. Make it before Exar Kun's fall (assuming, of course, that he was once a Jedi. As previously stated, I don't know much about him), and have your character chosen by Kun to be his Padawan learner. You could take the beginning of the game learning and building levels by having him as your Master. After you have enough training/skill to handle things by yourself, Exar Kun should start his fall towards being the dark lord. Like his attitude on missions starts to change, etc. That would be a great storyline. Be an apprentice watching your master fall. Then you would have to defeat him for the good of the republic, or to usurp him. If the Mandalorian Wars detailed in Kotor I & II were only about 40 yrs. after Exar Kun, then the above storyline could even spark/ set the stage for the Mandalorian Wars.
Okay, I'm done ranting. But I still think it's a good idea. I wonder if the company making the game is taking suggestions. Considering how valid most of these posts are, I imagine the Star Wars game to top all current games would be in the works...

How about Light-siders change to looking non-neutral.
Maybe you could start off as a young jedi, with a rival. As you progress, your rival takes the opposite alignment to you (If you go LS, he becomes dark lord. If you go DS, he tries to stop you when you become Dark Lord of the sith). If you become dark lord, you should get a Darth <Insert choices of name here> type name - like Traya was betrayal, Sion was pain etc.

I like the race idea. In SW episode 3 (the movie), who was the chick jedi who had multiple "tentacles" sticking out of her head (like hair) who Darth Siddius killed when being confronted by Mace Windu. I would like to be that race.

U sure it was a chick? And btw, his name is smiley (gave him the nick becuase hes in ep. 2 he kills someone in big clone battle and smiles like this: ) Those are natures first attempts at dread locks, he must have been someone important because he didnt just die like the others when sid attacked he got a few licks in, took more than he gave, but did mroe than the others. the only problem i can forsee with different races, is that some of the races arent all two leg-two arm-one head creatures, and not all are the same size. I wouldnt mind playing a wookie jedi... or a yoda (my long time dream)... maybe an ithorian, but when wearing things like armor and well.. armor, they wouldn't all fit, i guess their could be generic armor for sentients and a few sets for the other races, i thought i spied some wookie suits in ep.3, maybe yodaesque chars. could have some neat-o plate armor, or some sort fo energy field projected around them non force thing, or modified droid armor...

Personally besides above mentioned race, I would like to see a vehicle you could ride around in when in town or out in the dessert/whatever environment the planet your on has. Not sure how it would work but I dont like running for 10 minutes just to get somewhere and realize I forgot something.

Sort of like an all-terain hovercraft thing? that could work, especially if they made larger worlds, maybe an ocean world with 3-4 islands to visist plus a secret location... could it maybe a droid that is in your party, isntead of stealth he would have the ride ability? or it could have guns on it and you would do it like a mini gameesque sort of thing, get in fights, run things over... I like it, even just a moped would be nice...

Hi guys, I've just finished reading everyones ideas and they all seem good.
Until now I didn't actually think they were going to make a KOTOR III. But now that I think of it, it could happen. I don't really know what it could be about and how they could work it around the last two games. But I don't think you should be the Exile again, the Exile was KOTOR II's character just as Revan was KOTOR I's.
I think KOTOR III should have yet another character, one of very few Jedi that still live.
Maybe trying to find Revan...? Maybe there will be a great evil coming, somthing Revan sensed and went to find - it'd explain his disappearance, good or bad it would be a threat to him. Maybe this new Jedi sensed it too and suspected that's what Revan was trying to find and is now trying to retrace Revans steps?
Maybe the Exile could be in this game. The Exile might have also been trying to track Revan down? Again this could work either way, good or bad. The Exile either trying to hunt Revan down because he's the last Jedi/Sith or find him so he can come back.
I think though if the new Jedi was to stubble upon the Exile - he/she should find the Exile dead. Maybe after Malacore once the Exile retrieved the Ebon Hawk and flew off trying to find Revan the Exile found somthing too... And now is dead in the remains of the Ebon Hawk.
This plot idea is still Work In Progress for me. I'm still thinking... Opinions are welcome.

Just a quick brainstorm - I've been wondering what it would be like to have a story involving a Padawan never chosen by a Master? Meaning that perhaps the main character of KotOR III is a mature adult who had been trained as a Padawan in early childhood, but once he/she came of age (was old enough to become an Apprentice), no Master would have him/her so he/she had to leave the Order.
I don't know whether it actually works like that, nor am I being 100% serious, since I haven't finished KotOR II yet (so I have the feeling the Disciple could be someone along those lines). It's just a fleeting idea. What would this person be like? What would they do in life? How would they feel when they get thrown back with the Jedi who are looking for Revan and the Exile? It would certainly do for a nice Dark Side point of view (grr Jedi you wouldn't have me then but you just came running back to me now grumble grouch) Ignore me, I'm beginning to rant.
BTW, does anyone know of a subject like this ever being developed in the SW franchise of books, comics, and all related indicia? Now it's really got me wondering... What does happen when a Padawan doesn't get a Master?

You should do so well as to be sucked into the engine of some evil Sith Lord, you know.

i think it depends on the padawan's situation. maybe he couldnt finish training because his master went off to war (hm...doesnt that sound familiar...:mischief: ), or perhaps he is like juhani in that she fell to the lure of the ds, making his master not want to or unable to finish training him.
but yeah, it is a good idea. that way when u start the game u don't have to start from scratch (i mean, if u did have to there's now way in the sw galaxy you can jump from apprentice to padawan and kick sith butt like its a piece of cake...unless ur revan, but u know how that goes...)

COME ON, KOTOR III. I'M WAITIN!

I would rather have a character that I molded to my tastes, not a premade character, thanks.
