Well she is a cleric, so naturally one has to include that in summing up her fighting abilities. Should be accademic really, as a full party shouldn't need her in the front line, but in the back sommoning and using a sling (most bullets do add strength bonus, so use a buff and her sling can be very effective with her dex) and healing people. If she does get the urge to join the front line she can actually dish out more damage in one hit than any othr character (assuming you stick to role playing*) any other character. One hit with a harm spell and a two hundred HP monster is suddenly down to 1D4 health!
Harm spells should only be available to evil clerics, another fine balls up by Black Isle!
Well then yell at them and not ME! I am just the messenger here.
When you say "fighter", I hear "1h/shield or dw/twohand melee fighter." I.e., meaning she's in the front lines, fighting stuff. Single class Clerics really can't do that, and harm - regardless of how good - is a spell, and fighters don't cast spells. ^^ Perhaps my definition of fighters is a bit narrow, even so, though, I fail to see how Viccy can do any major damage with only 1 (2 with haste) APR. Sometimes, even in ToB, I just put Anomen up front and set his script to "agen". That's something you can't do with Viconia, she will die very fast.
But Viconia has other strengths, high MR being one. In late ToB I stopped using Anomen as a tank and just had him stand behind the others because I really needed him as a healer. Lately I've realized that it's quite painful to have a Cleric in melee when you suddenly need him/her to heal. And to that end, Viconia could probably do a very good job.
