Fixed.
After Hallowbrook: when Ming-Xiao transforms into Nines' shape the criminal violation (?) music is triggered.
No idea, is this a random bug or reproducible?
Cab ride with Jack's "friend": the cars are on the wrong side of the highway.
We can't do anything about that...

It's background combat music. I don't know how to look at it, it might be added as a dramatic ambient background music, because player has just found out that he was played by experienced vampires and used as a pawn... or it might be a bug somewhere around model transformation part.

From what I know, it does happen on every run - every time Ming Xiao changes her model to Nines model("default_combat.mp3" starts playing).

I wouldn't mind it staying that way it is. :) It fits the place & doesn't play for long - it ends after 1-2 Ming Xiao lines.

Okay, the Ming music clip may not be a bug--it just reminded me of inappropriate sound clips I've heard in older versions, like hearing crickets on the Elizabeth Dane. I guess it makes sense as a dramatic music cue but I just don't remember hearing it in previous versions. Don't worry about it.

EDIT: watch this walkthrough video [youtube.com] (fast forward to 7:45) and you will notice the music remains that of the downtown outdoor music throughout the post-Hallowbrook encounter with Ming.

I just did a quick test with the 8.7 Sabbat option and I don't hear combat music. Could it be possible that you just leave too soon after killing Andrei, so the combat music is still active when you get outside?

@vladdmaster: Hi, are you my wonderful betatester of the same name? If so, we should stay connected using this forum for now, because I can't find the old forum on the new The Patches Scrolls site yet...

Nope, it starts exactly on model transformation during dialog(it existed in older versions of U.P. plus, no clue about clean vanilla game, haven't played it for a while..), also no matter if I kill Andrei or not(choosing as option in newest U.P.)

Ummm... that Nines in linked YT video... he doesn't shrink in my game at all, he is always .. well - regular height...

Oops, I didn't wait for the transformation...

...and this could be the reason for the change, because this is a fix we added a long time ago. I never noticed the music though and I can't imagine why it is triggered.

Found a bug

When talking to the blood bank guy after releasing lily and using persuasion option to tell him a story about your violent behaviour there is a problem with dialog, the option to open shop and start buying blood works fine (awards experience) but the second option which is supposed to be a goodbye does not award experience points and is a gibberish of code and numbers.

Also, i have found that vtmb works very poorly on my laptop even when it is far surpassing the requirements, especially when using disciplines i have a large fps drop from 60-70 to 10-20...

Two more minor issues:

A minor typo in the Histories: "Environment Activist" (Gangrel) should read "Environmental Activist."

Also, I don't remember being able to access Jeanette's laptop. Can anyone verify this?

Can you be more specific, like what he was saying last and what were your answers? And please check out the vandal.dlg file in vampire/dlg to see if it got corrupted somehow and includes the same code and numbers.

What graphic chip does it use? The game is known to run bad on integrated Intel chipsets.

You can only access it if Therese is in the room and vice versa.

Wow!
You're okay with me. Need a fix?

1. Yeah
2. pc.AwardExperience("Danielle02"); G.Vandal_Plus = 1

Nvidia Geforce GT 555M, there are strange drops in fps, usually when outside or when using disciplines.

Also, a question. Does the torch used by vampire hunters that spawn when you break masquerade enough times deals lethal or aggravated damage?

Polybius, to help you a little, you may not have enough memory allocated for your graphics card. A few ways to fix it. Change your graphics settings in game will be the easiest way. Lesser resolution, may help with things. However, if you want to keep at resolution, and run well, you may want to adjust the graphics settings in the operating system, or even the BIOS. May not have a whole lot of memory for other stuff, but may help with the FPS of the game. However, if you are like me, you've already maxed it out. Then what you need to do is buy more memory, and adjusting the memory allocated to the graphics card. Of course, this all depends on a ton of factors. But they all may help.

Another possible bug:

Options menu > Controls. Scroll all the way to the bottom. I see one or two garbage entries. First time there was "O" and ":" at the bottom and the second time there was a "u". Also, why aren't the camera view control keys bound to the number pad by default anymore?

Playing as a Toreador, I noticed I sometimes have a red discipline option (similar to the Ventrue's dominate) in dialog. Is this new?

Ah, the code was in the wrong dialogue slot, fixed :) !

That should be powerful enough. Most slow downs are caused by the bad particle system of the game.

Aggravated.

That seems to be a random issue that I can't fix. Sometimes lines appear and sometimes not.
Also, why aren't the camera view control keys bound to the number pad by default anymore?
Because left handed people using the pad were confused due to the sudden camera switches.

Yes, these are Presence lines, similar to Dominate and Dementation. Like in the PnP game :) .

Will 8.8 be out any time soon? I'd hate to start a new game and have a new patch come out a bit later. ;-)

No. There haven't been any serious issues with 8.7 yet and we plan to recreate another lost level for 8.8, which will probably take some time...

That turnstile is so annoying, patty gets stuck in it about half of the time when you use the persuasion option to make her leave the city.

Hello, some time ago i posted a question in this thread about an issue that i experienced.I'm gonna post it again, considering that no one asnwered to me:

+Set eight occult powerups to be unknown unless Research stat is met.

I got a Tremere character and just got my room in the Tremere Chantry. According to the patch i can't use the power up items located in the room unless i got a specific value of Research.I tried to set 10 on Research but still can't identify the item :(
