When to dual class?
When to dual class?
What is the best level to dual class a Kensai to a mage?
Personally, I would think that dualing on lvl 9 is the best, cuz then you get a extra prof. point, and it won't take that long till you regain your class. If you dual on lvl 12, you would also get a extra prof. point (correct me if I'm wrong), but it would take a bit to long till you regain your class.

I'll kick ass in BG2.

Level 9, if you're going from a fighter. It gives you an extra proficiency point, and those are, after all, the main reason to have a fighter who dual-classes.
Remember, not all new classes permit you to use the weapons you've chosen as a fighter, even after you've risen in your second class above your first class' level. Check out the manual's weapons list to see who can wield what.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
