If you read the scrolls you found on Mhulay(sp?) - you'd see that somebody is waiting at an Inn in Berghost. (can't remember the inns name - but it is the inn in the sout-west of Berghost)

That is part of your "Bhaal"-legacy - so to speek.
And because you are "good", if you were "evil" (don't know the line, I would suspect 10 reputation) you'd get Minor Drain.

Later you'll get something different, but I don't want to spoil to much :)

My "good"/"evil" reference wasen't alligment-wise, it is reputation wise.
I don't know the excat number where it differes, but I would suspect at reputation 10.
Below 10 = Minor Drain <-> above 10 = cure light wounds.

After the beginning of each chapter starting with Chapter 2, you may have a dream when you rest. Each of those dreams gives you a new skill. Depending on your reputation AT THE MOMENT YOU HAVE THE DREAM, you will get either a "good" skill or an "evil" skill. The limit is indeed 10, 10 and above (I believe) getting the "Good" skill. The skills in dream order are:
Dream 1 (beginning of Chapter 2) Cure light wounds (good), Larloch's minor drain (evil)
Dream 2 (beginning of Chapter 3) Cure light wounds (good), Larloch's minor drain (evil)
Dream 3 (beginning of Chapter 4) Slow poison (good), Ghoul Touch(evil)
Dream 4 (beginning of Chapter 5) Slow poison (good), Ghoul Touch(evil)
Dream 5 (beginning of Chapter 6) Call upon Holy Might (Good), Vampiric Touch (evil)
Dream 6 (beginning of Chapter 6) Call upon Holy Might (Good), Vampiric Touch (evil)

As you can see, you can indeed have a mix of "good" and "evil" skills. Obviously during either Dream 1 or 2 your reputation had fallen below 10 at the time you slept. Hope this helps

Vampiric Touch has a few glitches in BG2. You can use it on yourself (without taking damage) and on doors and chests. Sometimes it gives you about 60 Hit Points...

If it works like that in BG1, it might be a good idea (from a power gamer's viewpoint, of course) to drop your Reputation to 9 before dreaming in chapter 6. That way you'll be able to prep with both Draw Upon Holy Might and Vampiric Touch if need be.

Draw Upon Holy Might can be used for healing purposes if you are a warrior (or another class but have a Constitution of 15 or lower).
