Gods In Argyle
I think 18 powergamers will annihilate 40 undisciplined rabble that care more about their characters' concepts than their fighting skills.Originally posted by Nippy:

heheh, Funny you should mention powergaming seeing that most of us are human (I think) and humans are going to be the best race in the game IMHO because of their extra feats.
My human fighter is going to be able to use the feat "whirlwind" by level 9 IIRC (level 6 if i don't want to use a bastard sword). Thats if NWN has the same fighting feats.

Cool - I hadn't even noticed that.Originally posted by Meerlight:

I've chosen human, because I have a hard time identifying with anyother race.

Don't get too excited guys. As far as we are concerned. We don't even have a guild house yet. It'll cost money, and the other guilds might not be in favour of us establishing a guild.Originally posted by Nippy:

Yes - regarding a guild house, but not regarding members.Originally posted by Tamerlane:

You can't fight a war with a house, you need to go outside to do it

Also I could imagine that some of the other guilds (NPC) controled would be in confilct with the Sinners - so that could be to our advantage.
I'd also like it if this guild would be kept a secret from thoese boards as long as possible.
As it is now, only some(all?) of the DM's knows about us - it could be great to keep it that way

Well, IMO Elves make the best (worst?) powergamers, at least in PnP. Mages and Clerics wielding longswords and longbows are pretty nasty. Elves get a load of other advantages as well (low-light vision, sharper senses, spell immunities), but those will probably not be implemented in NWN.Originally posted by Meerlight:

We should get a nice patch of ground as soon as possible and build tents as an interim solution... That way we might be able to secure a prime spot for our future guildhouse, but already have some common place in the meantime.Originally posted by Tamerlane:

Hello folks, I thought I'd drop by and see how it's going
Actually, I followed a link from my stats reports for Argyle and it took me here...
So let me introduce myself to those of you who don't go to the Argyle boards yet - I am known as Rhino, and am the Lead DM for Argyle. I've talked alot with Nippy about 'things' and I look forward to DMing you in a few more months (hopefully).
There's some interesting questions here. Regarding gods, I hope to only have about twenty in total, including all the playable races. I'm not big on gods, as long as the domains are represented appropriately.
I too am worried about the proliferation of evil-aligned players, and email the leaders of Guild Sin and this Cult of the Unholy regularly letting them know how I expect to see evil played in Argyle. Rest assured that if they're just out to screw up everyone else's good time they won't be around for long!
Luckily for myself and alot of players, these two groups of evil players will be starting in the Harbor, and at Level 1 there's not much chance of being able to afford to boat over to the mainland to spread their influence. I feel sorry for the Harbor DM - he's going to have 40-60 evil players and if he's only got 1 server, well, that's his whole server. OTOH, that means that Argyle will have a much more realistic evil population - maybe 10%, not 90%.
Yes, it's good to keep your guild under wraps on the Argyle site for as long as possible, or at least to not let people there know you hope to bring this guild into Argyle
I'll try to drop in here on occasion, but I'm pretty busy, especially since the NFL football season starts in 6 days...if you have any threads here you want my input on, just send me an email and I'll stop by!
Cheers

As it seems now, from info gotten from Nippy and Rhino - you need to be level 6 (guild leader(s)) to form a guild ingame.Originally posted by Xyx:

This means we have plenty of time to secure our bonds ingame.
The way I see it as I've mentioned (in other words) in my email to you all (PM to some) is that we RP as kindship, so to speak, we know each other, we support each other.
So what if we at start can't call ourselves the Blade of The Banshee.
When the time is right, if people still wishes it, we can form the guild ingame.
@Rhino: Hiya - nice of you to drop by. We also look forward (or I do, at least

That was unexpected. Look forward to hearing from you in the near future.Originally posted by Rhino:
