The only weapons that can hurt kangaxx are
Flametongue
Warblade
Carsomyr
Staff of the woodlands
Staff of rhyn
Staff of the magi
Staff of power
Soul reaver
Cutthroat
Crom faeyr
Dragons breathe
Blackmist
Spear of withering
Wave
Sling of everrard
Melfs minute meteors
Vorpal sword (25% chance of kill save vs death)
Mace of disuption +2 (+4 dmg to undead)
Phantom blade (+10 dmg to undead)
Defender +5

I beleive thats a comprehensive list. Considering the ease with which one can be protected from imrpisonment (staff o d magi spell trap, prot from undead, prot from magic, invisibility, spell immunity, enrage) and the fact that there really are alot of weapons that can kill the goon, he isnt much trouble

1) If I'm not mistaking the Vorpal sword is +3, but I think there is a knife +4 in SoA (found in Underdark?); Gesen s.bow and Mana l.bow, are both +4, and the sling of Arvoreen +4 too, they should hit Kangaax.
Also Phantom blade hits as +3, Mordekainen sword is +4 and Black balade od d. is +5
And there are also some dart +5 you can get from a certain cloak.
2) I don't think that prot. from undead will protect you from imprisonment.

It doesn't protect you from imprisonment but makes the demilich inactive - tested vs. the demilich in watcher's keep. In fact, I think that the prot. from undead scrolls are overpowered and cheesy :D

You are correct, the kife i beleive found on "Spoiler beware" the drow priestes the aboleth wants you to kill

Ignoring summons though and also ignoring the fact that in soa proper (no x pack) you can never cast black blade (unless from a scroll)
First, heres one I forgot.. Azuredge does mod style add dmg vs undead and they must save or be wiped out
Mana bow can fire +2 arrows at best and as such wont work
that sling can fire +2 bullets at best
Vorpal sword is +3 but if he fails his save he is killed outright
and phantom blade does an additional +10 dmg to undead, mod style
and not meaning to be critical but mordenkainens sword is more a summon than a weapon

Btw protection from undead prevents Kangaxx from noticing you at all, its like undead the effect of sanctuary exept there is no offensive action prohibition and it isnt countered by true sight (which kangaxx doesnt have anyway)

that sling does not need bullets thus is +5 when u dont use any, if u do u get more damage but u can no longer hit things that need +more than u have on bullets.
with some other weapons its similar (gesen,...), but mana bow should need ammo, and thus be unable to hit kangaxx.

oh, and MoD+1 should b enough, does the same vs undead as +2.
Truth suffers from too much analysis

I think you have your slings confused, I talking about the sling of avoreen +4.. not Everards sling (i didnt post the name but I was replying to a post which mentioned it as a demi lich hitting weapon)

**maybe spoiler**

one thing about the prot. from undead scroll.
some thimes the are very tricky to play with. Kangaxx will not held a speech when u killed him so he wont turn into the floating skull or when u use it later when he is the skull he also won't give a speech.
Twisted rune won't even trigger when u cast prot. from undead to early, the lich will just stand on a table doing notthing (and when the prot.of undead finally where's off all your other protections are gone to and u are toast :D )
