I guessed this was because they have high charisma and therefore get lots of persuade points, a quite crucial element to the game in regards to story development and bonus items.
While they have high charisma, they don't really have decent social class skills to build on. Adding a prestige class offers solutions though. As you can see by my level I sorta raced through it, ignoring most of the quests.
What did you find was the most gorgeous aspect to sorcering in NWN? What are the big plus points which could tempt me to give one a try next time through?
Not many, I don't think of NWN as that good of a game. As it happened I just stumbled into the final battle without properly resting or casting spells. Once there, the door out is locked and you can't rest anymore. I just did the little mummy summoning routine for every major battle, which worked out well enough for me most of the time (except against dragons). Only a sorcerer can adapt well enough to an unexpected situation. To be honest, the final battle wasn't the most unexpected one. The battle with the two metallic dragons however was.
To me the most goreous aspect of NWN is the Player Resource Consortium. It is still being worked on and adds lots of additional classes, prestige classes, spells, feats, epic feats, psionics and combat styles to the game, all true to the D&D sourcebooks. It's a lot closer to the real D&D than NWN2 ever gets. That's what I like most, the core aspects of the game. Not all the bad storytelling fluff around it.
I am planning on giving the two expansions another go with a new character. Some sort of character that would be the perfect, odd match to Deekin. Like a Tanarruk cleric or something. I kinda ignored him before, but I took a liking toward Deekin during NWN2.
