Song Lyrics
This one is hard. Always make me feel a little sad. Also the videoclip is excellent; best clip I ever see in MTV.
Jeremy
at home
drawing pictures
of mountain tops
with him on top
lemin yellow sun
arms raised in a V
dead lay in pools of maroon below
daddy didn't give attention
to the fact that mommy didn't care
king jeremy the wicked
ruled his world
Jeremy spoke in class today
Jeremy spoke in class today
clearly I remember
pickin' on the boy
seemed a harmless little ****
but we unleashed a lion
gnashed his teeth
and bit the recessed lady's breast
how could I forget
he hit me with a surprise left
my jaw left hurtin
dropped wide open
just like the day
like the day I heard
daddy didn't give affection
and the boy was something mommy wouldn't wear
king Jeremy the wicked
ruled his world
Jeremy spoke in class today
Jeremy spoke in class today
try to forget this...
try to erase this...

"Only God Can Judge Me" by 2Pac
[Featuring Rappin 4-Tay]
Intro: 2Pac
Only God can judge me, is that right?
[synth voice] Only God can judge me now
Only God baby, nobody else, nobody else
All you other motherf***ers get out my business
Verse One: 2Pac
Perhaps I was blind to the facts, stabbed in the back
I couldn't trust my own homies just a bunch a dirty rats
Will I, succeed, paranoid from the weed
And hocus pocus try to focus but I can't see
And in my mind I'ma blind man doin time
Look to my future cause my past, is all behind me
Is it a crime, to fight, for what is mine?
Everybody's dyin tell me what's the use of tryin
I've been Trapped since birth, cautious, cause I'm cursed
And fantasies of my family, in a hearse
And they say it's the white man I should fear
But, it's my own kind doin all the killin here
I can't lie, ain't no love for the other side
Jealousy inside, make em wish I died
Oh my Lord, tell me what I'm livin for
Everybody's droppin got me knockin on heaven's door
And all my memories, of seein brothers bleed
And everybody grieves, but still nobody sees
Recollect your thoughts don't get caught up in the mix
Cause the media is full of dirty tricks
Only God can judge me
Chorus: 2Pac
[synth voice] Only God can judge me
That's right baby, yeah baby
[synth voice] Only God
Hahahahahahahaha
[synth Pac] Only God can judge me, only God can judge
[synth cont.] me, only God
Only God can judge me
[synth Pac] Only God can judge me
And only God can
[synth voice] Only God can judge me, only God
Only God can judge me
[synth Pac] Only God can judge me
Only God can judge me
[synth voice] Only God can judge me, only God
Only God can judge me
[synth voice] Only God can judge me now
*heart monitor: long beep*
Flatline!
Verse Two: 2Pac
I hear the doctor standing over me *heart monitor: beeping slowly*
screamin I can make it
Got a body full of bullet holes layin here naked
Still I, can't breathe, somethings evil in my IV
Cause everytime I breathe, I think they killin me *beeping sound
stops*
I'm having nightmares, homicidal fantansies
I wake up stranglin, danglin my bed sheets
I call the nurse cause it hurts, to reminisce
How did it come to this? I wish they didn't miss
Somebody help me, tell me where to go from here
Cause even Thugs cry, but do the Lord care?
Try to remember, but it hurts
I'm walkin through the cemetary talkin to the, dirt
I'd rather die like a man, than live like a coward
There's a ghetto up in Heaven and it's ours, Black Power
is what we scream as we dream in a paranoid state
And our fate, is a lifetime of hate
Dear Mama, can you save me? And f*** peace
Cause the streets got our babies, we gotta eat
No more hesitation each and every black male's trapped
And they wonder why we suicidal runnin round strapped
Mista, Po-lice, please try to see that it's
a million motherf***ers stressin just like me
Only God can judge me
Chorus w/ variations
Interlude: 2Pac
That which does not kill me can only make me stronger
(That's for real)
and I don't see why everybody feel as though
that they gotta tell me how to live my life
(You know?)
Let me live baby, let me live
Verse Three: Rappin 4-Tay, Tupac
Pac I feel ya, keep servin it on the reala
For instance say a playa hatin mark is out to kill ya
Would you be wrong, for buckin a n***a to the pavement?
He gon' get me first, if I don't get him fool start prayin
Ain't no such thing as self-defense in the court of law
So judge us when we get to where we're goin wearin a cross, that's
real
Got him, lurked him, crept the f*** up on him
Sold a half a million tapes now everybody want him
After talkin behind my back like a b**** would
Tellin them n***az, "You can fade him," punk I wish you would
It be them same motherf***ers in your face that'll rush up in your
place
to get your safe, knowin you on that paper chase
Grass, glass, big screen and leather couch
My new **** is so fetti already sold a key of ounce
*****, remember Tupac and 4-Tay
Them same two brothers dodgin bullets representin the Bay
Pac when you was locked down, that's when I'll be around
Start climbing up the charts, so sick, but they tried to clown
That's why they ride the bandwagon still be draggin sellin lies
Don't think I don't see you haters, I know you all in disguise
Guess you figure you know me cause I'm a Thug
That love to hit the late night club, drink then buzz
Been livin lavish like a player all day
Now I'm bout to floss em off, player **** with 4-Tay
Only God can judge me
Chorus w/ variations
[4Tay] Only God main
[2Pac] That right?
[4Tay] That's real
[2Pac] Hahahahahaha
[4Tay] F*** everybody else, yaknowhatI'msayin?
[2Pac] Man, look here man
My only fear of death is comin back to this b**** reincarnated
That's for the homey mental
We up out
Chorus w/out 2Pac continues to fade

"Rock Bottom" by Eminem
Ah yeah, Yo!
This song is dedicated to all the happy people
All the happy people
That have real nice lives
That have now idea whats it like to be broke as f***
I feel like im waliking a tight rope
Without a circus net
Im popping percuset
Im a nervous wreck
I deserve respect
But im working sweat for this worthless cheque
Bout to burst this tec, for somebody to reverse this debt
Minimum wage got my idrenaling cave
Pull the venom in rage
Ecspecially when im engaged
And my daughters down to her last dipper
Thats got my ass hiper
I prayed to god answers, maybe i'll ask nicer
Watching bollocks well they crossing and pathfinders
These overnight stars become autograph signers
We'll all gone blow up and leave the past behind us
Along with the small fry's and average half pinters
Well Player Haters turn a b**** like they have vagina's
'Cause we see them dollar signs and let the cash blind us
Money will brainwash and leave your ass minus
Snakes sliver up the grass spine less
**Chorus**
Thats Rock Bottom
When this life makes you mad enough to kill
Thats Rock Bottom
When you want somthing bad enough you'll steal
Thats Rock Botoom
When you feel you have had it up to hear
'cause you mad enough to scream but you sad enough to tear
(X2)
**
My life is full of empty promises
And broken dreams
Im hopen things will look up
But there aint no job openings
I feel discouraged hungry and malnutrition'd
Liven in this house with no furness, un-furnished
Im sick of working dead end jobs with lame pay
Tired of being hired and fired on the same day
But f*** it, you know the rules to the game, play
'Cause when we die we know were all going the same way
Its cool to be player, but it sucks to be the man
'Cause all you need is bucks to be the man
Hustle up steerts are damn
Too comfortable and roomy in the six
They threw me in the mix
God these loony loony lunatics
Walk around impressed
And smoke a pound of sets a day
And yesterday we'll buy some phreakersem's like it was just today
My daughter wants to throw the ball but im too stressed to play
Life half my life throw the rest away
**Chorus**
Theres people that love me and people that hate me
But its the evil that made me this backstabber MC called Slim Shady
I want the money, the woman, the fortune, the fame
Means I aint burning in hell scorching in flames
Means I m stealing your cheque book and forging your name
Like times lives for eternal torture and pain
'Cause right now I feel like just hit the rock bottom
I got problems and now everbody on my block's got 'em
Im screaming like those two cops when 2pac shot 'em
Holding two glocks, I hope your door got two locks on 'em
My daughters feet aint got no shoe's or sock's on 'em
And them rings you wearing look like they got a few rock's on 'em
When you flaunting them I could be taking them to shops to pawn them
I got a couple of rings and a brand new whatch you want 'em?
'Cause I never went gold of one song
Im running up on someones mum with guns drawn
**Chorus**

"Epitaph" by King Crimson:
The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams.
Upon the instruments if death
The sunlight brightly gleams.
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams,
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
As silence drowns the screams.
Between the iron gates of fate,
The seeds of time were sown,
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known;
Knowledge is a deadly friend
When no one sets the rules.
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools.
Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back
and laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.
The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams.
Upon the instruments if death
The sunlight brightly gleams.
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams,
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
As silence drowns the screams.
Between the iron gates of fate,
The seeds of time were sown,
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known;
Knowledge is a deadly friend
When no one sets the rules.
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools.
Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back

But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.

Ride Forever by Paul Gross - from that truly excellent of TV shows, Due South, and a great song:
Well I was born up north of Great Slave, 1898
And I rode near all my life on a ranch near Devil's Gate
And I've seen this world about me bend and flip and change
Hey, it feels like rain - that's a thunder cloud
Well, I've been called a coward, but I've seen two world wars
And I lost my son Virgil, my Korean reward
And my Lucy died last summer - you ask me if I cry?
Hell, I'll show you tears, they're all over this ground
They're falling from these blue Alberta skies
We're going to ride forever
You can't keep horsemen in a cage
Should the angels call, well it's only then
I might pull the reins
They tell me I'm an old man, they tell me I am blind
They took my driver's license, this house ain't far behind
I say jump back all you big suits, 'cause you've got something wrong
'Cos I ain't gone, no I ain't gone
I am still breathing, and I still have my pride
And I have my memories, your life it never dies
Like the wind that blows in thunder
Like the stallion on the fly - I got it all
And I'm standing tall underneath these blue Alberta skies
We're going to ride forever
You can't keep horsemen in a cage
Should the angels call well it's only then
I might pull in the reins
So I say to all you old men - don't let yourselves get broke
If you think the world's gone crazy, and it's scratching at your throat
It's time to dust off that old saddle, get it on a horse
Kick up your spurs, we're gonna run like stink
We're gonna tear across these blue Alberta skies
We're gonna ride forever
You can't keep horsemen in a cage
Should the angels call well it's only then
We might pull in the reins

@ Delacroix I love that song, its so haunting...
Here is another haunting song, thats also a chore to learn
Tears In Heaven- Eric Clapton and Will Jennings
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong
And carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven
I'll find my way
Through night and day
'Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven
Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knee
Time can break your heart
Have you beggin' please
Beggin' please
Beyond the door
There's peace I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more
Tears in heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong
And carry on

Floating upon the surface for

You want me, well ****ing well come and find me
I'll be waiting with a gun and a pack of sandwiches
And nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing
You want me, well, come on and break the door down

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Catholic School Girls Rule
Catholic school girls rule...
In the class she's taking notes
Just how deep deep is my throat
Mother Mary don't you know
She's got eyes like Marylin Monroe
Catholic school girls rule...
From the cross she's raised her head
This is what the sister said
Give no love until you're wed
Live no life until you're dead
The good books says we must suppress
The good books says we must confess
But who cares what the good books says
Cause now she's taking off her dress
Catholic school girls rule...
Lead us into temptation
We are pure divine creation
Talkin' about my generation
Injected with the seed of emaculation
Catholic !
Catholic school girls rule...
In the class she's taking notes
Just how deep deep is my throat
Mother Mary don't you know
She's got eyes like Marylin Monroe
Catholic school girls rule...
From the cross she's raised her head
This is what the sister said
Give no love until you're wed
Live no life until you're dead
The good books says we must suppress
The good books says we must confess
But who cares what the good books says
Cause now she's taking off her dress
Catholic school girls rule...
Lead us into temptation
We are pure divine creation
Talkin' about my generation
Injected with the seed of emaculation

Well as many people know-I like 80's music. And I like 1-hit wonders aswell. Not only that, I also get paranoid often. Here is a song that demonstrates all three. It was an OK song. It was Rockwell's only hit: "Somebodys Watching Me"
I'm just an average man with an average life
I work from nine to five, hey, hell, I pay the price
All I want is to be left alone in my average home
But why do I always feel like I'm in the twilight zone
I always feel like somebody's watching me
Who's playing tricks on me
I always feel like somebody's watching me
When I come home at night
I bolt the door real tight
People call me on the phone, I'm trying to avoid
But can the people on TV see me or am I just paranoid
When I'm in the shower I'm afraid to wash my hair
Cause I might open my eyes and find someone standing there
People say I'm crazy, just a little touched
But maybe showers remind me of Psycho too much
That's why...
I always feel like somebody's watching me
Who's playing tricks on me
I always feel like somebody's watching me
Tell me it can't be
(instrumental)
I don't know anymore
Are the neighbors watching me
Well is the mailman watching me
And I don't feel safe anymore, oh what a mess
I wonder who's watching me now--- (BOOO!) -The IRS?
I always feel like somebody's watching me
Who's playing tricks on me
I always feel like somebody's watching me
I can't enjoy my tea!

“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

One White Duck / 10 = Nothing at All
A one, two, three.
There's a haze on the skyline, to wish me on my way -
And there's a note on the telephone - some roses on a tray.
And the motorway's stretching right out to us all, as I pull on my old
wings - One White Duck on your wall.
Isn't it just too damn real? One White Duck on your wall.
One Duck on your wall.
I'll catch a ride on your violin - strung upon your bow.
And I'll float on your melody - sing your chorus soft and low.
There's a picture-view postcard to say that I called.
You can see from the fireplace, One White Duck on your wall.
Isn't it just too damn real? One White Duck on your wall.
One Duck on your wall.
So fly away Peter and fly away Paul - from the finger-tip ledge of
contentment.
The long restless rustle of high heel boots calls.
And I'm probably bound to deceive you after all.
Something must be wrong with me and my brain - if I'm so patently
unrewarding.
But my dreams are for dreaming and best left that way - and my zero to your
power of ten equals nothing at all.
There's no double-lock defense; there's no chain on my door.
And I'm available for consultation,
But remember your way in is also my way out, and love's four-letter word is
no compensation.
Well, I'm the Black Ace dog handler: I'm a waiter on skates - so don't you
jump to your foreskin conclusion -
Because I'm up to my deaf ears in cold breakfast trays -
To be cleared before I can dine on your sweet Sunday lunch confusion.

Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.
This is the most depressing and disturbing song I've heard in my life. I am quitely broken down every time I listen to this. There's no actual singing, only a computer monotone voice with some very, very haunting piano playing in the background. It's by Radiohead, called "Fitter Happier"
Fitter, happier, more productive, comfortable, not drinking too much
Regular exercise at the gym, 3 days a week
Getting on better with your associate employee contemporaries at ease
Eating well, no more microwave dinners and saturated fats
A patient better driver, a safer car, baby smiling in back seat
Sleeping well, no bad dreams, no paranoia
Careful to all animals, never washing spiders down the plughole
Keep in contact with old friends, enjoy a drink now and then
Will frequently check credit at moral bank, hole in wall
Favors for favors, fond but not in love
Charity standing orders on sundays ring road supermarket
No killing moths or putting boiling water on the ants
Car wash, also on sundays, no longer afraid of the dark or midday shadows
Nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate nothing so childish
At a better pace, slower and more calculated, no chance of escape
Now self-employed, concerned, but powerless
An empowered and informed member of society, pragmatism not idealism
Will not cry in public, less chance of illness, tires that grip in the wet
Shot of baby strapped in back seat, a good memory still cries at a good film
Still kisses with saliva, no longer empty and frantic like a cat tied to a stick
That's driven into frozen winter ****, the ability to laugh at weakness
Calm fitter, healthier and more productive a pig in a cage on antibiotics

"Jumper" by Third Eye Blind
I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend
You could cut ties with all the lies that you've been living in
And if you do not want to see me again I would understand
I would understand
The angry boy a bit too insane
Icing over a secret pain
You know you don't belong
You're the first to fight
You're way too loud
You're the flash of light on a burial shroud
I know something's wrong
Well everyone I know has got a reason
To say put the past away
I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend
You could cut ties with all the lies that you've been living in
And if you do not want to see me again I would understand
I would understand
Well he's on the table and he's gone to code
And I do not think anyone knows
What they're doing here
And your friends have left you
You've been dismissed
I never thought it would come to this
And I, I want you to know
Everyone's got to face down the demons
Maybe today
You could put the past away
I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend
You could cut ties with all the lies that you've been living in
And if you do not want to see me again I would understand

For Kam and frogus, the 2 other Radiohead fans I know of on GB.
Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead.
A green plastic watering can
For a fake chinese rubber plant
In the fake plastic earth
That she bought from a rubber man
In a town full of rubber plans
To get rid of itself
It wears her out, it wears her out
It wears her out, it wears her out
She lives with a broken man
A cracked polystyrene man
Who just crumbles and burns
He used to do surgery
On girls in the eighties
But gravity always wins
And it wears him out, it wears him out
It wears him out, it wears him out
She looks like the real thing
She tastes like the real thing
My fake plastic love
But I can't help the feeling
I could blow through the ceiling
If I just turn and run
And it wears me out, it wears me out
It wears me out, it wears me out
And if I could be who you wanted
If I could be who you wanted
All the time, all the time

Ode to a grasshopper...
I think I'll open a little shop.
A little place where they sell things.
And I think I'll call it grasshopper.
And I'll put a big green grasshopper out there.
Wanna see my grasshopper momma?
Lookin' real good.
Oh! I blew it, its a moth.
Well, thats all right, he ain't got long to go,
So we'll forgive him.

The Message - Grandmaster Flash, Melee Mel and the Furious Five
Broken glass everywhere
People p*ssing on the stairs, you know they just don't care
I can't take the smell, I can't take the noise
Got no money to move out, I guess I got no choice
Rats in the front room, roaches in the back
Junkie's in the alley with a baseball bat
I tried to get away, but I couldn't get far
Cause the man with the tow-truck repossessed my car
Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge
I'm trying not to lose my head
It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under
Standing on the front stoop, hangin' out the window
Watching all the cars go by, roaring as the breezes blow
Crazy lady, livin' in a bag
Eating out of garbage piles, used to be a ***-hag
Search and test a tango, skips the life and then go
To search a prince to see the last of senses
Down at the peepshow, watching all the creeps
So she can tell the stories to the girls back home
She went to the city and got so so so ditty
She had to get a pimp, she couldn't make it on her own
Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge
I'm trying not to lose my head
It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under
It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from goin' under
My brother's doing fast on my mother's T.V.
Says she watches to much, is just not healthy
All my children in the daytime, Dallas at night
Can't even see the game or the Sugar Ray fight
Bill collectors they ring my phone
And scare my wife when I'm not home
Got a bum education, double-digit inflation
Can't take the train to the job, there's a strike at the station
Me on King Kong standin' on my back
Can't stop to turn around, broke my sacroiliac
Midrange, migraine, cancered membrane
Sometimes I think I'm going insane, I swear I might hijack a plane!
Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge
I'm trying not to lose my head
It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under
My son said daddy I don't wanna go to school
Cause the teacher's a jerk, he must think I'm a fool
And all the kids smoke reefer, I think it'd be cheaper
If I just got a job, learned to be a street sweeper
I dance to the beat, shuffle my feet
Wear a shirt and tie and run with the creeps
Cause it's all about money, ain't a damn thing funny
You got to have a con in this land of milk and honey
They push that girl in front of a train
Took her to a doctor, sowed the arm on again
Stabbed that man, right in his heart
Gave him a transplant before a brand new start
I can't walk through the park, cause it's crazy after the dark
Keep my hand on the gun, cause they got me on the run
I feel like an outlaw, broke my last fast jaw
Hear them say you want some more, livin' on a seesaw
Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge
I'm trying not to lose my head
It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
How I keep from going under
A child was born, with no state of mind
Blind to the ways of mankind
Got a smile on you with these burning tooth
Cause only god knows what you go through
You grow in the ghetto, living second rate
And your eyes will sing a song of deep hate
The places you play and where you stay
Looks like one great big alley way
You'll admire all the number book takers
Dogpitchers, pushers and the big money makers
Driving big cars, spending twenties and tens
And you wanna grow up to be just like them
Smugglers, scrambles, burglars, gamblers
Pickpockets, peddlers and even pan-handlers
You say I'm cool, I'm no fool
But then you wind up dropping out of high school
Now you're unemployed, all null 'n' void
Walking around like you're pretty boy Floyd
Turned stickup kid, look what you done did
Got send up for a eight year bid
Now your man is took and you're a May tag
Spend the next two years as an undercover ***
Being used and abused, and served like hell
Till one day you was find hung dead in a cell
It was plain to see that your life was lost
You was cold and your body swung back and forth
But now your eyes sing the sad sad song
Of how you lived so fast and died so young
Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge
I'm trying not to lose my head
It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder
