Anti-Paladin
Anti-Paladin
Ok, I'm over the fact that you can't import BG2 characters into NWN. I am still trying to find a way to create an Anti-Paladin, something I've been looking for since the original BG. Anyone have a clue?

Yes becoming a Fallen Paladin basically makes you a fighter without the feats, since you lose all of the paladin abilities when you cease to be lawful good. Now if you are wanting to create an unholy warrior type, a fighter/cleric of an evil god would work. But with the lack of prestige classes there is no real anti-paladin. There is such a prestige class in 3rd Edition rules though. This is one of the things I hope is either created in an expansion or scripted by a player somewhere.

Bioware can be such a tease! In BG2, not only did they have anti-paladins as NPCs, they had an "unholy sword" that was only useable by APs. Call me crazy, but I don't see the point of having a sword that good (or should I say evil) if you can't play the type character that it's made for. I know that a CE fighter/cleric is close to an AP...but it's NOT the same.
I WANT MY ANTI-PALADIN, DAMNIT!!!

the Blackguard prestige class does not require that you be a paladin turned evil nor does it require that you be chaotic evil. The requirements are some divine casting ability, BAB or something like +5, any evil alignment. and a couple of feats. The most likely adherents to it are evil clerics or cleric/fighters. Now if you are a fallen paladin you get extra bonuses that another class wouldnt get but by no means must you be a fallen paladin to take it. And if we are thinking of the same sword from BG2, which its more than possible we arent, I think it only required an evil alignment not anti-paladinhood. Are you thinking of the Reaver?

Nope, the Soul Reaver was a different sword, there was in fact a 2-handed sword that was usable only by anti-paladins.Originally posted by Mathurin

Quite a decent one, too, IIRC.

Poosible Spoiler!
It was carried by a Gith and was only usable by anti-paladins. It was either the Gith in the underdark or the one that comes looking for the blade when you get out. If you used ShadowKeeper to change a Paladin's alignment to chaotic evil, he could use it. But it caused glitches at level up.

Aribel is listed as a Blackguard after her crisis of faith, but I haven't been able to extract the character to see how Bioware created the class for her.
