Personal favourite was from ages ago and I can't even remember who he was or anything but he was called YOUR MOTHER, I must admit I did laugh at "our newest member: YOUR MOTHER" :D

Sounds like something my brother would do.
He named himself "Your mamma" in quake and H-L multiplayer.

Hmm.. Aqua-chan has quite a few different forms, but I finally became satisfied with the simplest form. Here is the history of "AC" -

It all started out as "aquaarcanine", Arcanine being a fire pokemon, which I was really attached to at the time. :o :D

Then, growing out of the pokemon stages, the name fell to "AquaA".

I didn't like it a whole lot, then I read on a Japanese language page that the suffex, "-chan", means either "Young person" or "girl". So, that's how I got "Aqua-chan".

Now, I like my given nickname the best, AC. It's short, simple, convenient, and cute. That's how the game was played. :D

well, when i needed an e-mail address, my mind went blank and i settled for a mish-mash of my first name and middle name. there are lots of other games i use regularly use in games or online, but the only one i don't mind using irrespective of my mood and my latest whim is Robnark, so i used that.

Boring - smass comes from the first initial of my first name and the first four initials of my last name. When I joined prodigy a million years ago I needed a user name - I was going to use my first initial and full last name - but then I was worried that people would be able to look me up in the phone book and harass me - so I just used the first four digits - also in high school people often shortened my last name and called me "mass".

Like I said - boring.

Just like HLD said - I aways use this login so I don't get confused. ;)

Yup, that's the one I remember. "Mr Flibble is very cross..." I have most videos, but not t-shirts. I do think you are a bit mad. :p :D

@AC: "-chan" is also used by someone who are very close, ie family members and old friends, regardless the age. It's sometimes used deliberately by B-rank media type people, to show off as if they are old friends of the famous actor/ess, model, sports player etc. Sad, isn't it...

Some years ago I was cruising a Total Annihilition forum when I instantly got incredibly bored with my username there. I was listening to Metallica's song "Phantom Lord" at that moment and so I found a new username. Later I took the same name when I registered for the GB forums. It also combines very well with the sheep avatar. ;)

I didn't really bounce Eeyore. I had a cough, and I happened to be behind Eeyore, and I said "Grrrr-oppp-ptschschschz."

Alas, woe is me, I named myself after one of my BG2 characters :( :( (an overpowered Avenger/fighter). I had been reading the Heaney translation at the time, and, well I drew a blank.............

@ Rob-Hin: Anglo-Saxon, or some other dead Germanic tongue, I believe. I was reading the book around the time I started my new character, which then "inspired" (: rolleyes: ) my username.

P.S. OMG! My 42nd post!!!! I've finally achieved the Answer!!!! :D :)  :)

P.P.S. The postscript is a Douglas Adams (RIP) reference, for those who don't know.

Actually mine is based on the ps2 game "Devil may Cry" (quite a good game, nice gameplay but a bit short) which I loved, Alastor was one of the swords the main character could acquire. Later I found out the name is often used for some occult demon.

My first i-net nick was HarleQuin, based on the warhammer 40k race. It was about 4 years ago when I needed a quick nick for CounterStrike, but I got bored with it. I'm still searching for some other nice nick, can't seem to think of anything.
