Are you talking about the Boots of Etherealness? If so,you can find them in the Drow section of the Sahaugin City-Of-Caverns,but you'll need to play the game with the Imps first.

As to what they do,they make the wearer ethereal once per day for 30 seconds, effectively granting immunity to normal weapons.

Nope, not the boots of etherealness. The boots of phasing - I think they have something to do with druids, or the druid stronghold? I've never found them and I'm very curious about that item. On some pages it is listed as an item in the game, but I haven't found any stats :(

please help me ;)

(probably starting my next game with an avenger ... )

If they're in BGII, you'll find them in SK....Not a great solution, but a point to start....Let us know if you'll ever find them....

I don't know where you'd find them... but their code is BOOT08. You know we're talking about a 'cursed' item, right? IOW you can't remove them without a Remove Curse. They teleport you randomly from enemy to enemy until there are none in sight, but you do get a +2 AC bonus. An interesting challenge they would be, that's for sure...

They don't exist in the game because of a bug when an enemy is in a space from which you cannot move. You can import them into your game but if you do I suggets you enable cheats so you can ctrl-j when you get stuck.

Correct, the boots caused several problems during play test, especialy during the "dream sequences", because of that, they were removed from the game.
- Waterdeep city constrution.

- Shadowdale low level adventure module.

- Rashmare /Thay high level adventure module.
