Mutants unite!
Whew! I'm glad you can tell they're gnolls. I was a little worried they might be hard to identify (too werewolf-ish or whatnot).
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Well my first gnoll sketches looked a little too lupine. I had to go back and make them skinnier and mangier.
I like the fact that the gnolls speak in their native tongue (something I've never done in DCI before). In past issues kobolds and xvarts etc. all spoke english.

Yay! The gnolls seem pretty popular.

Ah yes. I like that Arudin, being his bastard self, doesn't even bother to look up when Castor screams.

Very good episode, Kayless....great lines and drawings..
Those gnolls are key. I mean, if I didnt like my panda, Id change my avy to one of those gnolls...I was, at one point, looking for a well drawn gnoll for my avy, but came up short. Yours would have done the trick for me.
I loved the second frame....where Castor yells that out...I was expecting someone to say "Maybe it would be best if we left Castor alone for the moment"...or something....but sometimes its funnier when you dont see whats happening, you only hear it.

“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

A gnoll avatar would rock. Those guys are well liked, aren't they? I should have started drawing monsters earlier.

Exactly. I wanted to show things from the rest of the group's perspective. Makes you wonder what the hell they think is in Castor's ass.
I also didn't want to show Castor screaming on screen. Last issue there's slight eep when he gets shot, now we cut to the others and then hear him yell. Works better comedically I think.

Good ep Kayless.
Knowing Arudin they were probably playing for money (but knowing Durnkrag they probably weren't playing for much). Arudin's just a greedy penny-pincher.

Great work, Kay! Love the gnolls.
Wow, they're playing paper rock scissors! I didn't even notice at first.

Icewind Gate II Improved engine, third edition rules and the full BG2 storyline.
If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.
Love is a perky elf dancing a merry little jig and then suddenly he turns on you with a miniature machine gun.

Yeah, I thought it would be cool to have Khaggoth and Bea do that while they waited.

There seems to have been a slight problem with the Top Web Comics database.

I'd like to be P.O.ed with Top Web Comics for all these problems, but the truth is they’ve really given DCI a crap-load of hits. Getting on their case too much seems a bit... ungrateful.
But at least now the site is up again. So vote, vote, vote!

Well, if anyone wants one of Kayless' kickin' gnolls as an avy, heres the first sample...if no one decides to use it, I may just use it in a while.
