@oki101:
Chicken tastes like alligator, too, so you might want to avoid that as well.

The only reason people say "It tastes like chicken" is because chicken is so damn bland and flavourless on it's own, it's horrid!

@HighLord Dave
I have a strong feeling that I will never experience alligator meat, and thanks to your warning I will not eat it IF I get the chance then. :D

@Nippy & Scayde
I only eat meat when it`s burned to crisp.
Actually that was a bit much, but I will not eat it if I see anything red inside.

since my parents are vegitarian (and my mum's now a vegan) I never have eaten much meat. I do eat fish, ham and bacon occasionally now, but I still can't stand red meat.

Alligator is interesting in that it has the taste of chicken, but the texture of shark.

My parents like their beef cooked somewhere between well-done and fossilised. As a result, I eat almost all of my steaks somewhere between rare and medium-rare.

As a Florida boy, I am required by law to enjoy seafood (it's also a legal requirement that people in Florida enjoy frozen mixed drinks and the music of Jimmy Buffett; if you don't and the authorities find out, the Florida Highway Patrol will escort you to the nearest state line). I eat almost any kind of fish, crustacean or other ocean-dwelling creature (squid, octopus, etc.) cooked in just about any method, although deep-fried is very popular throughout the state.

Think Taz the Tazmanian Devil...

...although I love veggies too, it's very rare for me to eat my meals without meat.

During Lenten Season I abstain from eating meat, however there is always fish and seafood... :rolleyes:

Don't eat fish, I hate fish and all other seafoods :)
Basically anything that lives in water ..... *blarh*

You should come to Singapore or Australia. They are seafood heaven. Once you get a taste of the seafood there, you'll never be the same. :cool: Although Batam Island in Indonesia also have good seafood resto, but Singapore and Australia got better menus ;)

My gang mostly buy from fishermen whenever we want to eat fish. We prefer to cook it our own way ;)

Naa - I hate fish :)

Growing up with roots in some of the most "fisheating" place in Denmark has seriously scarred my food preferences for life ... not that I mind much, when the scars are a dislike to the slimey polluted scaly beast of the ocean.

If we're not meant to eat 'em, they shouldn't taste so good! :D

...but if you guys are into seafood then Thailand and the island coasts in the Philippines are tops! :cool: I'm sure HLD would have a heyday.

I get to eat a pile of shrimps like I would eat peanuts. :D

Speaking of seafood, I love Japanese food btw. :coo:

Talk up the Philippines as much as you want, but IMO (my horribly biased opinion :D ) Australia still has the best sea food range. Nothing beats catching your own dinner, especially if its a nice lobster, mind you everything must be done in moderation. ;)
