I was wondering if a romance (right now with Jaheira) is cancelled, bugged or anything-ed when finishing SoA with romance on the way (the "oh so blatant" dialogues) but not reaching the romance climax (errr

In lieu of any BG3 with the same main character--which just isn't possible, since his/her adventures have pretty much reached a crescendo by the end of BG2--I would have liked to see a new PC in a story placed some 30-150 years on. It might have been interesting to catch references to Keldorn as a myth, or to encounter Korgan at a more advanced stage of life. And Aerie? I'd expect her to have become an extremely powerful yet insightful figure, the kind who commands by suggestion. Other paths are possible, of course (and yes, I am disregarding the neat, final discussion of characters that concludes BG2), but she shows signs through ToB of moving through her personal problems and into a new self-comprehension. Contrast this with, say, Edwin, who's as immature at the end of the game as he is at its start.![]()

Such is the power of the BG historyline that every possible party member could generate another history... And that could envolve the Child of Bhaal becoming a god and the other party members having their own parties or becoming leaders, shaping the realms, cause now, even after the pain of losing the child of bhaal to his destiny, they are creatures of immense power.
That will be a mod worth paying and working on...

Normally yes, but there is a CLAU console command that will enable the romance for ToB. I actually asked the same question some time ago, if you search under my name you should find it and the excellent info provided by Sabre.
Thanks again Sabre!
