Classic Korgan

Here are some of Korgy's choicer one-liners:

"I’ve had better times drowning face first in gutter water, don’t ye know, bleeding from every orifice."

When you go off to fight the fallen paladins in the bridge district: "By the Wyrm of Avarice! ‘Tis a grand day when me axe gets to bite into the over-cured armor of these oh-so-superior holy warriors! Lets be off, for I grow anxious for battle!"

If you make Korgy the group leader he says: "Aye, now this be more like it! The first t' disobey me orders gets an axe in their skull!"

When Jaheira gets on his case: “Pfeh, I know ye, druid. Ye wants nothing more than to return to yer tree-hugging ways an’ nothing more. More than likely y’ell turn tail the first sight of yon ogres!”

When Aerie gets on his case: “If I wanted to listen to yer yip, ye prissy elf, I’d pull ye over my knee and smack yer bottom. At least then I’d have meself something interesting to do while ye blathered on.”

When Valygar gets on his case: : "Dead is dead, and killing is killing, my lanky friend. Ye can sugar coat it all ye want, but when we go to our family reunions we both stand alone, aye?"

Getting on Imoen's case: "Hmph. Imoen, yer an o'er-lame excuse fer a member o' this party and I be tired of exertin' meself to protect ye! Next time I let ye perish, screaming like a ninny as ye does!"

Getting on Aerie's case: "Aerie, ye wingless freak! Ye better spend some time practicin' yer spells afore the next battle! I won't put up with any more of yer screw-ups!"

When romancing Mazzy: "Be aware, Mazzy, I've something long, hard and low to the ground ye're free to touch and fondle. Child, no need to glare! 'Twas me axe I were referring to."

Reciting his favorite lavratory wall poetry to Mazzy: "I were here, alas I'm gone, left me name, to arouse thee on, They who know me, know me well, those who don't can ride me stinking dump, straight to hell" "Haha! Masterstroke!"

Getting on Nalia's case: "Nalia, ye're overtall, beardless, long-limbed and lack strength. Ye disgust me."

Getting on the case of the entire party: "Ye know, though ye all be gutless, clumsy and nay too bright, this party is a sight better than me former crew of delvers and ne'er-do-wells."
"The Khajiit mind is not engineered for self-reflection. We simply do what we do and let the world be damned." Quote from the Ahziirr Traajijazeri

There are some funny dialogues between Imoen and Sarevok if you let Imoen give Sarevok a part of her soul instead of doing it yourself ;)
Unfortunately I only know them in German, but one time Immy asks Sarevok how it is to be dead and Sarevok replies she should know, he's sure [Charname] spent a fortune on resurecting her at temples :D
There are three kinds of people that no one understands: geniuses, madmen and guys that mumble.

I like the first rampage of Minsc... 'The bars... they bend and twist with my berserker strenght! Now you will... now... ooooh, oooh, you're a smart one...'

It is one of the funniests...

Cespenar is also majestic, specially when you got hindo's doom...
'Tehehehe... what's this? Hindo's doom? Can you say it? Hindo's doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!'

But I like Irenicus very much. There's one line ... 'Ah, the child of Bhaal has awoken. It is time for more... experiments' I think it is cool.

And Firkraag.
'Wherever he is, he is seething...' he is just good.
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.

So many

Well, a personal favorite is Yoshimo's "HIYAAA! Heh heh heh, the tourists love that", but I also like Viconia's "I swim in memories in a place like this - MOST unpleasant memories" and Minsc's "Feel the Burning gaze of my hamster! Amend your ways!", all good comments rarely mentioned.

But really, there are so many...

The spectator beholder has some great dialogue too, I just can't figure one out at the moment.

Heh, Yeah

"Oh Captain, my Captain" - "I just always wanted to say that"

What a laugh! (ToB, of course, but still)

Of course, that reminds me of Bondari reloads...Bwa ha ha!

Are the NPC's rated in any way for most character interaction down to least interaction?

It seems that Minsc and Korgan have more diffent sayings than other NPCs. Are they more likely to interact with one specific NPC?

"Might you have any advice, o Sentient Sword?"
The sword whistles incredulously. "Advice, eh? Well, besides working a little on your swordsmanship. Besides that, I'd have to think."
"Hmmm... find someone rich, and kill them. Find someone richer, and kill them, too! Hack and slash your way to fortune! Woo-hoo!!"

Gotta love the talking sword :)

No, but it appears that some party NPCs are "unfinished." Valygar's part was supposed to be larger. It wouldn't surprise me if there was originally more to the mission involving Cernd. (It would be hard for there to be less.) As usual even in the closing cycle of an excellent game, some things had to be left out when the code was finally frozen.

Jan's character is such that he relishes social interaction, and loves playing the straight-faced jester. This opens a broad range of interactive possibilities. I don't know that Minsc's remarks are actually that many in number, but his personality is so...large, that his comments are exceedingly memorable. As much is true of Korgan, though Minsc is frankly lovable as a character. (That is, if you don't mind daft, excitable, horribly strong rangers.) Minsc is also one of the very few characters whose party interactions will actually interfere with your own choices at once celebrated point in the game. Would there were more like that.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

My favorite dialogues are from Minsc. There's one when your party is standing around in one place, inactive.

(I'm probably going to butcher it, but here goes): "Boo gets antsy when he doesn't get enough exercise. We best get moving before he bites us in places innacessible to scratching." (or something like that)

I also like when Lilarcor (the talking sword) says something like: "My last owner used to say that I was sharp and edgy. He was such an a**."

A lot of my favorites are from Irenicus. "You will suffer. You will all suffer!" He just sounds so cool :D
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

"I cannot be caged!" (kills Cowled Wizard)

"I cannot be controlled!" (kills another one)

"Know this as you die, ever-pathetic, ever-fools!" (kills the rest of them)

Just the sort of lines I wish my own character would say. :)
