Well now, laddie, who are you calling stupid here? Who said I didn't suggest this for the evil parties (Montaron and Xzar, as you know, most certainly are evil)? For good parties, simply elaborate the story a bit. For example, let Khalid rush into the melee and get killed (preferably beyond resurrection). This could very well happen by accident so why not let it happen *almost* by accident? Isn't in fact this way of "expanding" the RPG exactly what you are promoting in your own thread "Role-playing in CRPGs"?

I think the whole reason they put couples in the first one was to force you to roleplay a bit and make tough decisions....do you really want Jaheira?.....then you have to deal with her whiny boyfriend.
Obviously enough people didn't like it, so they didn't implement that in BGII.
Of course, as I always say, everyone should play in whatever way makes it fun for them....even if I don't agree or understand it.</STRONG>
Whiny is right. I hope I never have to hear "Better part of valor! Better part of valor!" again. I think even a good character could be irritated enough with Khalid to send him on a suicide mission. :D

That is one of the reasons why I haven't ressurected this @$$ - Khalid's presence in BG2 obviously would destroy the whole story , especially the part about my PCs romance with Jaheira. And even in time before releasing BG2 by BioWare I was killing this whinning guy by my PCs hand with exception for my last BG1 play when I had him to the end (Sarevok) to make everything according to BG2 story.......

Even if there are some people that want him back in BG2 I will not make him because he doesn't fit to my own game - the only thing that I could do is finishing all NPCs that I have listed but not put to download and/or adding interactions for these NPCs...

Ahh Xzar and Monty... my two favourite underlings, harrassed into submission trained for several months in BG1... to what use?! to be killed by those harper scums... a sad day for all evil Lords like myself ;)

Call me an idiot if you want, but I got so tired of Jaheira, the overly sarcastic biatch, so I had her die by a gang of kobolds in the Nashkel mines. Khalid was a pretty good fighter and I miss him. I was ed when he had to die in BG2. :(
