No pain, no gain. :D
Fixing anything doesn't make you a pain though. :)

Nice work Galuf!
I totally agree to all of it. Also, to me Mac is the 'weakest' of all characters. So it's good that his stats aren't uber high. :)

Well, I'm thinking of taking a break from doing major characters and moving on to supporting cast, particularly who else but the charming Dwarf himself, Durngrim.

I mainly felt like Durnkrag's dad mainly because he seems like a rather colorful character, for what supporting roles he has supplied so far.

Since he is about Old Age (if not Venerable), I was proposing his stats would be as such:

16 Strength
10 Dexterity
18 Constitution
14 Intelligence
14 Wisdom
22 Charisma

Also, I'm wondering what level he really retired from adventuring at. Did he make it all the way to 20, or is he somewhere around there? If not, then I'm going to adjust his Cha down 1 or 2 points.

If hes old, then this affects his strenght, dexterity and constitution.
First it drops by one and if he's really old for his race they drop by 2.

His charisma, wisdom and intelligence increace by 1.

Did you calculate this already?

Yep. By the sound of his profile, Durngrim was also a MIGHTY adventurer in his day, minus the sexploits. :D

Hmm, if he was a mighty adventurer and higher than 20th level, I'd add about 4-5 to each stat, simply because Books of stat increase are pretty cheap (well, for Mighty Adventurers, anyway!).

I'd hate to see what his stats are when he's fully kitted out.

Yep, Durngrim is at least level 20. Monsters feared him, men envied him, and women of all species wanted him. :D He also has a ton of magic items lying around as mementos (since he can afford to give away mithral armor).
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

"All species"? What, *all* species? Make his CHA around 30-35 then!! :) And probably boost his CON into Epic levels, simply so he can <ahem> "go all night".

You know, Kayless, I was thinking the very same thing. Seeing as official statistics for Elminster and Halaster Blackcloak say that they have more accumulated treasures than they have on them (Thank you, FRCS!), so I'll know what to write. ;)

Now for some more questions:
1) So then, what would you generally say about the rough-draft stats I gave him?

2) Skills and feats? I'd say without a doubt Power Attack, Cleave, and Great Cleave, but any feats related to charming people (particularly women)?

I'm thinking to give both him and Castor a somewhat-unique skill, 'Perform (Sexual Prowess).'

since he is somewhere around lvl 20, he need much more feats, that's for sure.

Durngrim don't need a feat to charm, he got charm Person (female) at will :p :D

Call the skill profession (ladies man) :D

Notice to Kayless

Kayless, if you're reading this, The Great Hairy found some stats on the Whip/Scourge of Fangs from the FR sourcebook Serpent Kingdoms. I was wondering if you'd mind reading what he found and determining how Teagan's whip should be statted compared to that.

Hairy posted the stats here.

Give Durngrim the skill Profession Cortesan. It's a catch-all skill for that sort of thing. Unless you want to break out the Erotic rulebook for DnD - which is available! <shudder>

In the book for Bards and Thieves (Song and Silence) there are several Feats which add to Diplomacy and Bluff. He should have most of those as well.

(Galuf, if you need me to detail them for you, let me know.)

Cheers,
TGHO

Sad news for the moment.

As of now, progress on Durngrim (and Project: Dungeon Crawl) is being postponed due to the new college semester.

Very sorry folks, but my education is really priority #1 as of lately. :(

What's the URL for those avatars?
By the way, try using Profession (bastard) for Arudin. :D

Not when you start finding more than one woman at college and abroad appreciating your presence almost as if you're Durngrim. ;)

Rob-hin: Hey... uh, you think you can possibly close this thread temporarily while it's on hiatus? I'd really like to keep this thread clean of a lot of post while I'm not working on my characters. It's mainly so that I don't have a ton of posts to read through when I restart the project.
