Brynn, is it your wrist and hand that is hurting? If so, he's probably right. It's most likely the early stages of carpeltunel (sp?). I believe it has something to do with the tendon's or cartiladge in your wrist affecting your wrist and hand movements.
No, thank god it's not my wrist (so I can still do archery, phew). It's the very beginning of my index finger's "muscles" (or what). It's worst when I try to scroll the mouse.
Typing at an awkward angle is usually the leading cause of developing it. Cashier's and people who work at computer's are usually who end up with it, and before the age of 30 or so if they've been doing so for years.
Yes, I figured it must be the wrong arrangement of my desk/keyboard/mopuse at home. Here at work I have a desk big enough to lay my lower arm on, but at home the space is smaller, and the display is on my right, so when I turn right to face it my right hand moves even further from it... So, it needs to be rearranged asap.
Chances are if you avoid typing and using a mouse for 2 days or so, you'll feel better. There are ways to avoid that, I personally don't know them because I'm dealing with them myself now.

Yeah, I've been using the mouse with my left hand all day today, and it feels slightly better already. I'll be doing the same for the next couple of days, hopefully that and rearranging my desk will help
