Free money if you can fight (vivec guard harvesting)

Post by Hippykicker_61 »

I just started a new game with a Redguard custom class (melee combat specialty essentially) under the sign of the warrior. I was level 1 or 2 with just an iron sparksword and wearing full steel heavy armor. I use the mage guild to transport me to Vivec. You get out into a courtyard with 4 doors. (Take note of the door that contains a merchant with 2500 gold capacity)
I attack the guard(resist arrest) and totally beat the crap out of him. normally there would be a 1040 bounty on my head, but the only guy that the witnesses could report the crime to, I just killed, so there is a 36 gold bounty on my head for assault (whoop dee dooo!!!!!). take all his stuff. You will be overencumbered. That is when the redguard's adrenaline rush comes in handy. now i can hold 5 or 600 pounds. Run to the merchant and sell your stuff. It might take 5 days. You make about 15,000 per guard. when you're done and you walk outside, a new guard appears :D (what a crappy job :( ). Rinse, Repeat till your rolling in money. :D
With the money i made, i bought skills at the vivec arena, and in about 4 hours from the beginning, I'm level 8! I'm already doing morag tong missions!

Yeah, or you could start making alot of fortify intelligence potions, use them all and make new fortify intell-potions with your enhanced intell., this will raise the quality (thus value) of your potions.
But I just like people that take out those pesky ordinators :p "SCUM".

well what you are doing is fine but you really must refine your method, instead of killing each guard as you have been kill one, wear some of his armor, now ordinators will attack you on sight untill such time as you remove the armor. the best part is that letting them attack first gives no bounty on your head, plus the temple wont kick you out. Also to easily kill them(even at level 1) just get some scrolls of elemental burst, these are great for killing them in groups or through doors

Indeed, and if you simply drop the suits of armor you've claimed into a pile on the ground, no running around and trying navigate that awful city everytime you kill one. Simply use Gromph's method, kill a few, grab the loot, stagger under the weight and sell a few suits at a time. It saves you a ton of time not running back and forth each time you get a suit of armor.

I tend to enchant myself a nice weapon before heading off to butcher them myself. Then again, I don't kill them for gold. Just out of spite. I don't like those guards...I jump off of the balconies inside the different sections of the town and butcher them where I see them, all over Vivec. :o

But you don't have to go all over the place to find ordinators. The Vivec foriegn quarter's plaza provides the perfect closed enviroment for unbridled ordinator killing. Anybody know where i can find a merchant with the highest amount of gold. I'm tired of selling the guard's ebony mace (normally sells for 6100) for 2500, because the merchant's too poor

Your best bet is to go to a certain mudcrab.
___SPOILER___
You can find the mudcrabmerchant in Azura's Coast Region (grid 9,-10)
South of Zanaib camp and east of Seyda Neen.

yeah the potion thing is always my personal favorite for cash. the ingrediants are pretty easy to find, jsut get a billion of them, and spam "create". soon you will have potions that boost intelligence thousands and thousands of points for hours, and that sell for tens of thousands of gold. plus, you if you use the intelligence potions, you will be able to create fortify willpower taht lets you do whatever spell your heart desires. Personally i made one that was ranged, used every damage available, lasterd for a min or so, and had an area of 50.

Use THAT on your buds in vivec, heh heh. If you can pull it off, the high ordinators in Mournhold (whatever that capital city is in expansion) are worth even MORE money, albeit they are slightly stronger. dont try my spell there, they have reflect... which i found out to my disadvantage...

I've tried it as well, and it works. :D But even when I am not wearing their armor they still attack. :p Don't know why, really. But I think they're respawning or something, because now, everytime I go to the Foreign Quarter Plaza, there's another one there, even though I've killed the one there like, five times. :(
I wanted to change my sig, but I can't think of anything to change it to :(
