Anomen is cheated!
These are the original AD&D rules for dual-classed characters:
'A human, who has at least reached 2nd level and with ability scores of 15 or more in the prime requisites of his first class, and scores of 17 or more in the prime requisites of the class he switches to, can be a dual-classed character. (...)'
According to this rule Anomen, a fighter(1)/Cleric(2), should have at least a wisdom score of 17, but he only has 13! (Although the wisdom is boosted to 16 after his knighting).
I demand that all honorable players kick Anomen cheater out oft the party at once!

Yes I agree p2572. Minsc's blow on the head, and the change of alignment for Fallen Paladins and Shadow Druids would have happened after the class was chosen.
But I don't think that there is an explanation why Anomen would have lost 4 points of wisdom recently.
I believe the programmers did it that way to keep the game balance, as well as reflecting Anomen's character.

H'D has 2 ++ in shortswords - impossible for a blade.
Lots of little 'kinks' like this. Guess they do it in an attmept at balance.

4 slots?!?!
1 for a mage, 1 for a Thayvian (?), 1 for specialist cast (?). Where's the 4th? Does he still have his necklace for number 4? Man, that dude is a machine, think I'll play evil next time...

Lots of the NPC seem to have been given some kind of personality-building special "quirks". Sometimes abilities, sometimes keyed items, sometimes other things....some are less desireable than others, of course....
Can you really dual-dual (Cleric-fighter-cleric)like you said with Anomen, in the PnP rules? Even if possible, wouldn't this character still have to have at least a 15 wisdom to have dualled to a fighter in the first place? I am assuming it is out of the question in BG2, at least as the protagonist.

You can only dual class once as a protagonist. I tried Fighter - thief - mage and it doesnt work. Maybe if you import (for anomen, start as) a dualled character, you are only dualling the once...

Ooh, I just thought - maybe I can't dual class 'back' b/c my stat is only 15/16 - I can dual out but not back in again. Weird.
Would work for Anomen if his wisdom was 15 or 17.
Darn rules.

The alignment of creatures:
1. ALL paladins and rangers are fallen - so that they cannot heal themselves by Lay Hands etc. Nevertheless, many of them are NG, NE or something else. Some of them are LG.
2. Druids: sometimes good alignment - this shouldn't be Shadow Druids.
I offer another explanation: some spells are alignment-dependent. For example Detect Evil. Holy Word or Holy Smite. Also, the Equalizer is alignment-dependent. The alignment is chosen so that these spells work or - do not work. Here are arguments for it:
a) almost all golems - TN
b) almost all elementals - TN
c) all vampires - CE
d) genies - usually LE
e) Jon Irenicus - CHAOTIC GOOD!!!??!?! (well, some variants of Jon are LE)

No that's not true. According to standard AD&D rules it is NEVER possible to return to your former class. And you can't either in BG2.Originally posted by Drakron Du´Dark:

Even if that was possible Anomen could not have changed from cleric to fighter, because he still lacks 2 points of wisdom (would need 15 at least).

Another example is Mazzy. She is a fighter, but her innate abilities make her kind of a paladin.
If you have noticed, these spells improve her drawbacks:the strength spell improves her natural 15 (which is mediocre for a fighter),the remove fear protects her from panic (happens often), the haste spell makes her deadly with short bow and the lay on hands ability gives her the opportunity to heal herself quickly in the middle of a fight-at lvl 19 she can heal 76 hp.
As for the Nameless one,a lvl 22 mage with 21 Str,24 Wis and 23 Int is something like a demi god in a PnP game, but Torment was focused mainly on the story and not in the AD&D rules.Perhaps the Torment team thought that the rules were too restrictive,so the next RPG they are going to make is said to be based on another ruleset (not AD&D) and it will not be a sequel.
