Stoopidest mistakes
Stoopidest mistakes
After accidently having some enchanter put 'CE improve markmanship xxx points' for a lot of money on my Daedric dagger I started to wonder... what are the dumbest mistakes you ever made in Vvardenfell?

Kill the blighted Kwama queen on the quest for the hlaalu stronghold (I did that before knowing she'd be usefull) and also enchanting a short sword with a cast when used cold spell...
I got so sad when i noticed she would just glow and not freeze the victims...
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.

If mods are included in this, and overlooking the obvious counts... I just pulled a really dumb one..
I am playing Nevana's Twin Lamps quest. For the life of me, I cold not locate the Pelagiad safe house, despite having scoured every square inch of Pelagiad...
I just found it.. I had neglected to notice the trap door located in the house of one of the faction leaders...
Normally, I'm just a little bit more on the ball than that

So it *was* an added interior cell. Nevana's pretty sneaky, huh?
Mine? Spending a lot of time and effort defeating some very nasty creatures in a temple, far away from civilization, only to cast Recall instead of Set when I wanted to move my haul to a temple near my house.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

To make matters worse, I only discovered this *after* emailing her... Yep! I feel like a grade A moron
lol! Been there and done that, on numerous occasions, no less. Since I am compulsive about saving frequently, I am usually able to just reload. Not exactly, roleplaying, I know, but if my gaming time is limited it is far less frustrating.
Another moment when I felt dense occurred while experimenting with a high elf character born under the Atronach. Since I had read that the Imperial Shrine healing alters recharge your magic supply when you hit "restore attributes," I duly went off looking for the healing alters at various shrines.. but no matter how hard I searched I could not actually see any "healing alters."
I did a search here, but no luck. So then I dug into some of the FAQ guides, and finally found a hint.. since a quest giver at Fort Buckmouth was described as being located "downstairs near the healing alter."
I had been playing the game for about 6 months, and it had not actually dawned on me that those table-like things were in fact alters...As far as I could see they served as a snack table for loaves of bread and the like in case the priest got hungry.

At least you can still use it to weaken the opponent before closing up.

Those spells are disabled in the room I got myself into.
I once made a mod for myself that made the beastraces better, using the Argonian with ce underwaterbreathing I found myself unable to complete the pilgimage: one part requires you to drown....

Do you need a silencer if you're gonna shoot a mime?

[/QUOTE]I think there's a way around that one, or so I've read: hurt yourself while you're there in the water (maybe using a poison or something).

Here's mine:
Those cliff racers...
The first time, I was attacked by them, I had no idea what was happening. I knew my character was getting injured and there was a guard swinging away at something, but it was the first time I played first person view, attacked from the air .
How naive I was then...

Many of the type of mistakes, here, I deliberately introduced to a group of "joke artifacts" I created for an MMORPG in which I once worked for several years: mild attack spells that would put on ranged weapons to cast on self when used, etc. Proved pretty popular with the silly set.

Mag: Don't remember much at all of last night do you?
Me: put simply.... No
Mag: From what I put together of your late night drunken ramblings? Vodka, 3 girls, and then we played tic-tac-toe and slapped each other around.

If you didn't know the specific game, it wouldn't matter. One example: there was a spell a certain class could cast on enemies to daze them for several seconds. I put this spell in an amulet, so it was self-cast when rubbed.
