Hi guys,
I wonder if anyone can help. When Dak'kon hits Fighter lvl 4, I succesfully level him up & got the 'Streaming Blade' upgrade. But when he hits Fighter lvl 7, I can only get the 'Chained Blade' upgrade...
I think I've handle all conversations carefully, or maybe I didn't?? What other ways can I boost up his morale?
Thanks in advance...
Help! Cannot boost Dak'kon's morale to get 'Streaming Blade' upgrade!

Platter's post is particularly useful.
Dak'kon's morale, like all the party members, quickly returns to the default (in less than 8 hours) no matter what you do. So, his morale only matters if the morale-change happened within a small amount of time before his few blade-changing level-ups (Fighter levels 4, 7 and 10).
You could get Dak'kon's morale to the max, and then rest, and it would be back to the default.
Ok, thanks Faust. If I understood that correctly, it means I must boost up Dak'kon's morale before he gained the experience to go level up....
What I did last night, I defeated the Evil Wizard Construct, got the mssg that Dak'kon has leveled up, then only I started talking to Dak'kon...
I'll try it again tonite...

Update from last nite:
I was still unable to get to the Streaming Blade upgrade. I think my problem now is that I do not know how to boost up his morale...
I've already completed the Zerthimon's Unbroken Circle & the follow-up after getting NO lost arm, so I've already asked about the 4 previous companion and seek out Xachariah. All these when Dak'kon was a few level back...
Is there anything I could try to boost his morale? I tried the Aanzi-Kii'na-Yiminn side quest but still nothing...feel kindda a bit down cause I think I've treated Dak'kon well. Anyway, if i can't get that upgrade, oh well...I just try to get over it. Life afterall (in PS: Torment) isn't just about maxing everything up...

I'm not sure how much help I can be on this subject. It's a fairly difficult issue, unfortunately. You might check out a thorough walk through, like Dan Simpson's , and see if it helps you identify key things or conversations you could have - that you've yet to have.
Hey, is it just me or is the "chained blade" (ok morale) version of dak'kon's sword better than the "streaming blade" (high morale) at level 10? You can look at the differences between them here http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/pc/p ... html#edged
i would rather have the extra AC than the extra spell slot. what do you guys think?

Since I'm playing as a mage, I'd rather concentrate on Dak'kon's fighter ability. Would love the extra spells slots (and of course it's great to boost his 'chained' morale), but Dak'kon current 1st & 2nd level spells slots are more than enough. His spells complement his awesome fighting ability...eg Reign of Anger, Missile of Patience, Power of One and Blur!
...only Morte can match Dak'kon's efficiency as front-liner!

Why is it a case of either/or? Dak'kon's spells increase if you engage him in discussion about his philosophy, and read the material he carries around. It is completely independent of level.
