Is there a Max. to Heraldry?

Post by Juniper »

I think I've heard that with some sisterhood paths you end up with 11. It maybe in some classes you end up with nine. Usually you get 10 or at least the 2 paths I've completed both ended with 10. Unfortunitly it doesn't appear the heraldy work so it matters not. D

Thats what I thought....'cause I've got The Angel..and well, I seem to have no problem dying  (after a mighty thrashin', of course ;) ) I guess maybe the only on that I've seem some positive effects from is...the one that you take 20% less damage fro
Has anyone else seem to "feel" the effects of some Heraldry and not others?
Thanks for your reply! :D

The only one I have tested to my complete satisfaction is 'the merchant' + 15% bargain. I checked the price of things before and after receiving the heraldry and there was no change. The other heraldries seem much harder to check because the bonus is lost in all your other statistics. I mean parry+ 2 or strike +2 would be impossible to perceive. Perhaps if you timed a fire ward then got magic or celestial magic + 10 you could see if it lasted longer. Anyhow I'm working with the assumption that they don't work due to my experience with 'the merchant' and the fact that your stats are unchanged with a new heraldry. I would like to hear any other test people have done especially if they turn out contrary to mine. D

I don't think they don't work. The +2 parry or strike ones are actually the easiest to test. Look at you strike before and after you get the heraldry and you'll notice no difference. Equip an item that adds to your strike and you'll see the difference at once.

But there is a difference betweeen heradries and equipment. If an individual who doesn't have a parry heraldry bonus equips an item that improves parry, they will add to their parry. Right now, the heradry bonuses don't appear to have any real differences. The only real way to test, if any is to test the heradries that effect spells, as you can physically test the length of time for spell duration, and measure the damage done to see if there are any differences, especially since there really isn't any equiment that improves spell ability.

I don't think the fact that heraldry bonuses don't show up on stats makes them work differently to item bonuses. I'd say they don't show up on stats simply because they don't work at all. If someone knows of any working heraldry I'd love to know so I can check it out myself.

I do agree with the merchant heraldry....it does produce benefits....I guess the one that confounds me the most is The Angel....protection from death? How does one test that successfully?
Maybe the new patch will make these work properly..... :D

Agree? I don't think anyone else said they got anything out of it. It's working for you?

How do you know that it is working? I never saw a difference in the amount of money I paid for items, or was given when I tried it.

12 so far

I'm playing an Adept/Fighter, Valkyrie/Samurai, War Witch and I have managed to get 12 heraldries. It appears the new ones just push a random heraldry (the last on the list?) out of the widow. Since they don't seem to have any game altering effect I can't say for sure if the bonus would still remain.
