Thank you, CE, may I use it? Mine was a larger image of rotating balls... unfortunately it was 212, instead of 100.

Of course, that was the whole point providing you liked it. Dottie has the gif-files, so he can alter it if you want different colours or something.
@DW: Toronto is an option for a post-doc period, so I will look for more information although it is at this point most likely I will have to go to NIH in Washington. I have some big projects that are extensions of my PhD work which I need to finalise at my lab here before I go anywhere though, and that will take about 1 more year.
Staying at a place working for 1-2 years is of course much different from living there a long time, but still I would rather move to Canada than to the US. However, I may not have much of a choice.l
I could live that way again.
So what is stopping you from living that way again?

Well there are quite many songs about California and it seams to be so that for each decade there are few new songs about California. So I would go to California just because of few songs here and there. From those California songs that I have heard are more or less quite similar in theme, always in the border of seriousness. Perhaps I should start topic concerning these songs somewhere.
But California isn’t all that great and one of the reasons is that local architecture isn’t pretty. Tall tower like buildings called skyscrapers pollute bigger cities. Like giant fingers those are reaching for the sun, but what happens to those who try to fly too close the sun? I just like see the sky when I look up. There is also few good looking old buildings left in California, but still those can’t compete with European counterparts. It is also a sad thing when those beautiful 1880-1920’s buildings are demolished for sake of new skyscrapers. Well what can you do? There is no space and you can only build upwards. Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is big plus for California and I might not need to live or work in those bigger cities.
California also has four national parks and couple national monuments too. Wouldn’t that then be perfect place for raising your offspring? Ideal American holiday among other Americans I wouldn’t have ever imaged even to consider it and isn’t Yosemite National park also considered to be one of the most beautiful places on earth? Then it wouldn’t take all that long to go and see that over respected dump called Grand Canyon. Hiking on desert and mountains would also be a way to spend your weekends.
But I don’t like how the administrations change in about four year periods. Wouldn’t it be lot wiser to keep those people doing their jobs who know what they are doing? Then president also has little bit too much power for my taste and basically United States only have two political parties, which in my eyes don’t seem to be all that different, so perhaps after few years I might understand that system and I wouldn’t be so critical towards it
...
Then it would also be quite hard to imagine any terrorist, alien, insane dictator or liberal/republican attack against California as long as Swarzenegger is governor of California. Surely he would defend Californians with endless ammo belt and grenades. His terminator friends could also be quite helpful.
But in order to answer the original question I would go to Cuba. Viva la Communism and Cuban cigars! It is truly a country where even prostitutes have a collage diploma or something similar.
But for now I am surely staying in my own home country.
