What features you'd want in IWD II
I've said it before and I think it's a good idea. I'd like the ability to 'queue' up commands on yer guys. eg. Tell the mage to cast this spell, and then that spell. That way you could set your commands and let the battle unfold. I'd like to see some kits as well. I'd also like more integration with 3E rules, particularly with regard to skills. I understand only a limited amount of skills would be useful in a computer game but there are some that would be. Oh yeah, how about dual wielding for Rangers

Actually the infinity engine already supports this and uses this, without you seeing it much.I've said it before and I think it's a good idea. I'd like the ability to 'queue' up commands on yer guys. eg. Tell the mage to cast this spell, and then that spell.
Remember all those times you hacked a spellcaster to death, then his contingencies, triggers, etc, fired off?
Thats due to the engine querying actions to that objects Action List. Thus the scripting trigger players find useful: ActionListEmpty(): Meaning the object running the script is not performing any actions, nor has any queried to do...So in game scripts (and us scriptors) already are using this.
