This is the point and that's why I suggested, if possible of course, a title related to the location of posts.
Spam could be tolerate in a forum like SYM (for instance a Spam Your Mind instead of Speak Your Mind) and not tolerate elsewhere ! Then the posts in Spam Your Mind could be not counted !
Anyway I haven't voted in this poll cause i'd like to have a new title but i want to earn it !

@TonyMontana1638, & The Balance. Does this mean you are going to join my campaign to outlaw the filthy pestilence that is 's'-word from SYM? The " 's'-word your mind" forum idea is good the name could do with some work. What about " 's'-word sewer ", "drivel central", "drooling inanity", "that slightly moist and distinctly smelly bit of carpet under the stairs"...

And if they post 's'-word here what about a banning for a first offence? Sounds fair to me.

For the terminally hard of thinking, above you see a simple example of individuality being expresed without the need for any special mods (etc.), without a cost to other members in terms of downloads or scrollage. Guess what? It isn't even hard to do.

Curdis, I think spam is needed. Different, custom titles, not. So, let the "s word" and the "k word" (I remember you hated Katanas on BG) go, and let the idea of custom titles go too.

"Member" is the default title, "Exalted Member" comes after you reach fifty posts, "Moderator" if you sign up to be a moderator and the rest come from having bought a subscription to the site in its early years, an option no longer available. Consider that some people hae been here much longer than others, those who hae not been here as long, such as myself, are disadantaged if all they hae to go on is a post, when others already hae a great feel of what the person is like.

Titles add another thing to help you get an idea of what someone is like.

That is, if you can sum yourself up slightly with something small like a title...

Though I saw the argument that the titles separate Moderators from Members, so both are clearly visible...I'd have to agree with that one. If there were lots of unique titles, it'd be harder to spot the difference.

Well, in several other forums, Moderators and other staff have completely seperate titles under their user titles, that are often in a fancy font, and colour. This makes 'em alot easier to spot.

Example - Navy custom user name with a similar sized moderator tag under their names. However, I doubt this is supported by vBulletin. There wasn't a hack a few months ago when I last checked.
