Hello, I just bought Fable: TLC. I am little confused about where to start training, my friend told me to just raise strength right now. I have full black leather and steel longsword. I have done a few quests. Please help me where to start training, I am lost!
Thanks mates .
Also what is a good way to start making money?
Fable: TLC (questions)
Training is quite easy.. just kill everything that is bad.. leave the area.. come back in the area.. and you can kill everything all over again... keep doing this.. again.. again.. and again... and again... and when you have enough xp, go raise some skill / spellA L E X wrote:Hello, I just bought Fable: TLC. Well, the stat that you train should depend on your playing style, not what your friend tells you.
The "stats" that you train depend on how you kill enemies and what you do.
For example, killing enemies with a bow or buying and selling items train Guile. To train strength you'd fight enemies in melee and to raise will you'd cast spells.
Train your character in such a way that you think will be most suitable to your playing style and mold your character into something you'll enjoy.
For me, hack and slash with strength doesn't really cut it, but for your friend it might be the best thing ever.
Also, you can max out all of your stats.

I do agree with you about not maxing out range as I also find it useless as well. I played this game twice (and no, I'm not going to play it again) and I rarely used the bow unless if I fight against Pixies and want to get headshots. Most of the time, I always use magic and melee attacks.A L E X wrote:Yes, I have learned much more about how to level and such. I plan to max all skills not including range because i personally find it useless. If you need to stand away you can use mage and close combat is melee.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
What stats you train is totally dependant on your preferences. Though you may want to make Ranged that stat that you slowly add points to throughout the game, since you don't need Bows as much as Melee weapons or Magic. Unless, of course, that Archer/Witchhunter title in your Profile appeals to you.
When I play, I generally raise 5 stats to start -- Strength, Speed, Slow Time, Physical Shield, and Magic Power
Why Strength? Simple...for more damage. Level 1 or 2 is fairly useful against the bandits in the early stages of the game, though you'll need more for the later parts. Unless you're a Mage, that is.
Why Speed? Because speed affects how fast you attack, how quick to the draw you are when using a bow, and possibly casting time for spells...though I doubt it.
Why Slow Time? The name gives it away -- to slow time. It gives you a few seconds to get hacking at an enemy for free with a level 1 slow time. Higher levels Slow for longer. It can even be used to cheat in bar games.
Why Physical Shield? This has alays been the key to my success. This is a top-contender for Best Ability in my books. It lets your mana take the damage and knockback from each hit, leaving you the option to take massive hits from Golems and the like and still be on your feet after each attack. Of course, it drains your mana with each hit. This ability is also nice if you want to go through the game with almost no battle scars. Higher levels take less damage with each hit.
Why Magic Power? To raise your Mana so Physical Shield can work with better efficiency. The more, the merrier, I always say.
So you could use my strategy, but it's best to blaze your own trail. Just review each of the abilities and see which ones appeal to you.

This is one of the wisest things that can B said about developing yourself in a game.... eventhoug i am gobbled up by WoW right now i reconed that even there diffrence makes a big point.... If you are a rampager go for the way of the sword.... fairly hard hits and less damage.....Berethor wrote: So you could use my strategy, but it's best to blaze your own trail. When you are more of a stealthy person... attacking enemys from great distance so they will not batter into you and save you allopt of every day stressing... I personaly prefer to a mage... fast working with magic and keeping poeple on a distance with thunder fireballs whatever.....
It need to fit your play still most, To sucseed ofcourse...
