So im new at both this game and the DND rules. A little advice would be nice. Im a lvl 6 ranger, just starting to Neverwinter City. My party is the dwarf fighter, the thief and the mage. I just traded the mage for the Druid.
I did the two weapon fighting for the ranger, but i typically just use this big a$$ mace i found-electric damage is added.
I imagine at some point ill want to add some fighter levels? And i see this red dragon something or other? I know there are a million choices, but is there a recommended time/class to multi class for a beginner that doesnt want a huge challenge?
im half elf, so i dont think i get the XP penalty.....
thks...
When should i start multi classing
^^ what he said, however you should know that some builds that use the ranger class only take 11 levels to master their combat style.
if you are looking for damage dealing id suggest the "Rage-er Ranger" which if i recall goes something like ranger 11 then frenzy brezerker 7 and 2 fighter. This will turn into a low grad damage monkey, with the two weapon frenzy.
if you are more stealth focused, id suggest 11 ranger, 9 assassin youll get death attack, combat mastery and the majority of the assassin abilities.
if neither of these suit you, you could always do a pure ranger build, however the other free feats you get for ranger other than favoured enemies arent that great and only work outside.
