On your first trip to Highcliff in Act III, you should have had an encounter where you rescued Gera and Zachan from some lizardfolk warriors. This is the location where you can find the vein of ore. But if you missed the vein (or the location), it's not a big deal. You can completely upgrade the weapons and armor of your greycloaks even if you miss 3-4 veins.

SWC, Thanks for the reply.

I have missed at least two veins that I know of and since I have the list of ore locations and the jpg files that m0rb1d provided I should be able to find the rest. I think they stretched this part out just a little to much but at least I know that there is enough left to finish the Keep and do some final armor upgrading.

Can't make the ore acknowledge in Ironfist clanhold

I'm standing right in front of the ore in the first passage in the Ironfist clanhold, but the game doesn't acknowledge that I found an ore of vein. Do I have to do something different? I have the dwarf, Neeshka and Quara in the party.

Any help? Is there newer version update I need to download?

Nevermind my last question. I somehow got it working.

Anyone found the ore for the merchant Simmy in the old well?

That quest never worked, and it was taken out of the game in one of the patches. If you haven't patched your game yet, you should.

After checking on Atari's web site, it says there are no patches for the game right now.

Looking around on the net, seems there are several version up to 1.08. What's the best way/safest to get a patch?

TIA

Most recent Official Patch is 1.05 (1.05.912 on the update screen), Last I heard.

Open Beta testing for 1.06 is on-going at the Official forums.

Unless you reffer to the patcher version, I have no Idea where you are getting 1.08 from......

I've found several of these veins of ore, but they aren't clickable. They don't show up with 'z' either. I'm almost to act III, and only have gotten two ore. I don't want to go through the trouble of continuing, only to have more ore unclickable.

Anyone else encounter this problem? Is there a fix for it?

update:
I went into debug mode, and noticed that the ore has an 'ore trap' associated with it. I assume this is why you only need to be near the ore and nor actually click it sometimes. However, the trigger isn't working.

anyone familiar with the scripts and such have an idea of how to debug this?
