I surely would. The Gamebanshee main page for Vampire The Masquerade, Bloodlines has all the cheats and such you would need, but incase your really lazy, here they are:
Create a shortcut to the Vampire.exe and edit it slightly add "-console" after it, so it's activation line should read C:\Vampire\vampire.exe -console .... Or, you know, where ever you installed vampire too.
Now, use that shortcut to run the game. You'll know you've done it right because when you start the game, the console should load in the upper left hand corner of the screen, and you'll have to close it before the menu will pop up.
Now, once you are in the game itself and playing, you can hit the "`" key (The tilde key, located on the left of the 1 on your kyeboard, just under escape) to bring down the debug console... Feel free to type random things in it while your friends walk through the room to make it look like you're programing your own Mod. Don't forget to look at them as you keep typing to make it seem like you don't even need to look at the screen or keys.
Once this console is open, you can enter various commands to edit the game slightly. In this case, you'll want to enter Giftxp 900 ... You guessed it, 900 free experince points. Pump all your stats and discplines to max, and then if you feel the experiment is STILL taking too long you can enter the following things as well. SPOILERS, OH GOD, SO SPOILEY!!
Give item_w_o (This should bring up the option to give you the "occult blade"... The magical katana from latter on in the game)
Give item_w_d (This should let you select the desertE... Sadly I don't know how to get ammo for it through the console, so my suggestion is to sell it to the first person you can, then buy it back from them, thus activating their ability to sell you ammo for it.)
Give item_a_b (This should let you chose the Body Armour... Don't forget to equip it)
Now that your vampire is basicly unstoppable, but can still take damage from bosses and such, you can run through the game quickly and easily and get back to your error point and see if it contiues to crash. If it does, you're on your own. *Helpless shrug*. Oh, and BTW: If you close the console and the game doesn't seem to be running, open the console again and type charedit to bring up the Characeter Editor, this will open your character sheet. Close the character sheet and the game will be pumping away again.
PS: If this isn't enough to make getting to the location you want an utter cake walk, your a girly man... But there is an option for girly men like you. The console also allows a GOD MODE!!... I'll let you figure out what you have to type in there to get God active.

I was Diablorised once. I got better.
