Jonric: With all of the things you've been able to fix and put in place since launch, what do you consider to be the game's current primary strengths?
Craig Morrison: I think at its core, Age of Conan has always had the potential to be a very strong title. We have the most visceral and beautifully detailed gameworld ever created for an MMO. We also have the advantage of a very mature and brutal property. Tied closely to the visuals, I think it's a very unique setting amongst the current generation. No other title out there feels quite like ours in terms of environment and atmosphere. Stepping into Hyboria, you are truly getting something different.
Likewise, I think we have one of the most fun and well-paced combat systems of any current MMO. It feels different, and allows for greater freedom of choice in combat.
I also think as we have now expanded on and added to the open world and siege mechanics, we are starting to see a really compelling and interesting PvP element appearing on the servers, where territory and resources are precious, and driving a whole different type of gameplay than what you get from purely instanced PvP, which we also have.
Throw into the mix the constant flow of new content and features we have added since launch, and I think the game represents a compelling offering that has a unique angle, as it were. The play experience in Age of Conan is notably different, both in setting and style, from other MMO titles.
