Q: Which significant features were planned that didn't make the current version of Dungeon Siege, and will they be added in a patch?
A: There were huge feature cuts, but for the most part, none that made too much of an impact on gameplay. One example is falling. I really wanted the ability to have characters become separated from the rest of the party by falling to an area below, and then have the player reunite the characters and all of the crazy adventures that would result in doing so. I also wanted to have the characters walk and limp like they were hurt. The amount of animation to support this became prohibitive.
