Scavengers are tenacious and deadly lizard-like creatures. As pack hunters, they tend to appear in very large groups at key areas around Mount Grimrock, making up for their relatively diminutive size and low damage output with sheer numbers. Experienced adventurers shouldn't be surprised when they end up surrounded by a dozen or more of these monsters. Scavengers tend to come both alone and in groups of two.

Strategy: Scavengers aren't the most common enemy you'll see, mostly appearing in a few special encounters, but when you do find them, you'll have a lot of them on your hands. Their tactic, if it can be called that, usually revolves around simply surrounding you and using attrition to finish you off - for every Scavenger destroyed, there's another two waiting to take its place. Potions of Healing are a must when facing big groups of them, especially for your weaker party members like Mages, because your mobility is going to be severely limited.
