Now that Mass Effect 3 has been officially announced, I return to the age-old response to this topic: Mass Effect 3 is a single-player game. Thank you.This doesn't mean that we won't eventually get a multiplayer spinoff, but it sounds like ME3 will be sticking to tradition.
UPDATE: Community manager Chris Priestly has posted the following response to Facebook, which seems to dispute the single player claim:
People have put a lot of trust in what a non-employee said about the game.Back to square one, then.
