Summoners! The game is free-to-play, so there's no harm in seeing if the changes meet your competitive (and cooperative) expectations. Still, you might just want a quick taste without downloading the client, so in that case you can just have a look at the new images in our image gallery.
Every grizzled veteran of the Fields of Justice was once a spring chicken waiting to fall prey to a Grandmaster at Arms, Frost Archer, or Barbarian King out there at some point. We also know that even if you're a grizzled veteran ready to go hunting for a spring chicken as a Grandmaster at Arms, Frost Archer, or Barbarian King, sometimes you just need a little practice to keep yourself sharp!
We've been hard at work augmenting our AI, allowing us to produce more and more challenging and complicated computer controlled enemies. In the near future, players will be able to experience the fruits of these labors by joining a matchmaking queue that will pair them against a team of enemy AI bots on Summoner's Rift. Presently, players will be able to select from either Beginner or Intermediate skill level, then join a queue that will pair them with a team of allies seeking a similar challenge. This fast, convenient way of finding an appropriately matched cooperative session makes for the perfect practice venue for players who are either just starting out or testing a new champion.
Here are a few of the new AI opponents that you might run into on the Field of Justice:
'¢ Renekton
'¢ Trundle
'¢ Miss Fortune
'¢ Ashe
'¢ Warwick
'¢ Cho'Gath
'¢ Taric
'¢ And more!
Now, you might ask, what's the difference between these bots and the ones currentlyavailable in custom games? Well in addition to the new available champions, you might spot these bots performing such devious actions as ganking mid, defending dragon, or purchasing Guardian Angel Armor. Moreover, you'll have IP and XP rewards for Co-op play will be greater than those awarded by standard Custom Games.
So when you're feeling rusty, or just want to take a new champion for a test drive, you'll soon be able to hop in the queue and let us find some bots for you!
