While he doesn't actually offer up any specifics about them, Elemental: Fallen Enchantress lead designer Derek Paxton has kicked up a single wallpaper depicting a massive eclipse in order to advertise the fact that the expansion pack will introduce "random events" to the strategy/RPG. I leave you with his brief, cryptic account:
There are random events in Fallen Enchantress. They are rare. They don't make the player's life easier.
