Due to many changes in the game content itself The Witcher 2 developers refer to the Xbox 360 version as an (adaptation) not a (port). Today we know one of the features which will distinguish the Xbox 360 version from the original PC release.
The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 will feature a new, 4 minutes long CGI Intro by Oscar nominee, and BAFTA winner, animator Tomasz Bagiński. Tomasz Baginski is know from many short CGI movies, as well as from the Intro created for the first The Witcher game.
Tomasz Baginski commented: (The CGI Intro for The Witcher 2 will have different flavor than the one known from the first Witcher game. In Witcher 1 we have quite an intimate story which practically consists of only 2 main characters. The Intro told a part of the first short story about Geralt of Rivia ever written by the author Andrzej Sapkowski and was not directly connected with the game itself. For us it was also kind of a tribute to the author. Today, we have a different situation. Some shots seen in the Xbox trailers show that this time we went into different direction. We have very spectacular and epic sceens strictly connected with the events from the game and its subtitle. I won't reveal more in order to not spoil watching it when the game comes out.)
Studio director Adam Badowski added (I have known Tomek for a long time. I know what our teams can achieve working together. I saw the animation, and the first versions of the new Intro. And there is not much to tell. It will simply kick ass.)
CD Projekt RED also said that this Intro will be part of the future update of the PC version of the game as well.
