Risen's TAGES-based DRM has been a thorn in our sides for nearly two-and-a-half years now, particularly for those of us who reinstall our operating system on a regular basis and therefore burned through the three-activation limit in no time. But thanks to a new patch that has made its way to both Amazon and Steam, digital copies of Piranha Bytes' open-world RPG are now officially DRM-free.
Hopefully a patch will be issued for the retail copies, too. And with the DRM removed, maybe we'll see the title on Good Old Games soon?
