Deus Ex: The Fall Preview

There's a new, FAQ-like, preview for the mobile title Deus Ex: The Fall over at IGN, which offers mostly positive impressions on the title, with the only notable sore point being the controls not working too well in combat situations. Here's a snip:
OK, but those environments must feel pretty constrained and sterile, right?

Nope, not at all. The hub environments are fully non-linear, and extremely large. In the opening Panama City hub I explored a train station, a boardwalk, run-down slums, a nightclub, a multi-level apartment and more unique areas each filled with lootable trash cans, hackable doors, sidequest-giving NPCs and everything else you would expect.

These environments aren't just a couple of rooms stuck together. They're dense, with optional areas to explore, hackable terminals filled with juicy (and mundane) emails to read, and multiple paths to each destination.

What about the RPG elements? How pared back is it all?

Not very much. You still earn XP and Praxis Points for lethally (or quietly) completing objectives, which can be spent on 24 augments. Most are modified Human Revolution upgrades punch through walls, cloaking, better armor, etc.
